It would be a shame to race through the majesty of ancient Luxor. Take the sights at your own pace with your personal Egyptologist over this 2-day private door-to-door tour. Day 1 is devoted to the East Bank: the Temple of Karnak and Luxor Temple. Day 2 covers the West Bank: the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon.



Itinerary

Day 1: Karnak & Luxor Temples

Stop At: Temple of Karnak, Karnak, Luxor Egypt
Your Egyptologist Guide will pick you up from your starting point to accompany you for your day tour to the East Bank to visit the magical Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in history and was dedicated to the God Amon his wife Mut.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Luxor Temple, Luxor 23512 Egypt
Then continue onto visit Luxor Temple which was built by Amunhotep III in 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. King Ramses II was the most famous king and ruled Egypt for about 67 years. It was dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra his wife Mut and their son Khonsu together representing the Theban triad. Enjoy visiting Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon. Return to your starting point in Luxor.

Day 2: Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut & Colossi of Memnon

Stop At: Valley of the Kings, Luxor City, Luxor 85511 Egypt
Your Tour Guide will pick you up from your starting point to explore the West bank of Luxor. Start with a visit to the famous Valley of the Kings where there are many kings buried in this valley. The most known tombs are King Tutmosis I Tutmosis III, Tutankhamun, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep II.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Temple of Hatshepsut, King Valley Road, Luxor Egypt
Then journey onto the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatchepsut also known as Deir el Bahari. Queen Hatchepsut meaning Foremost of Noble Ladies was thought to have started the first Trading routes.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Colossi of Memnon, Thebes, Luxor Egypt
Carry on now to the Colossi of Memnon. The Colossi of Memnon are huge twin Statues made from blocks of quartzite sandstone. The Colossi was thought to have been guarding the entrance to Amenhotep Memorial Temple. The Colossi is one of the best places to take some fabulous photos. After this fantastic tour transfer back to your starting point.
