A 45 minutes drive from Bern takes you to the French part of Switzerland, to the Gruyère region, with its rolling green landscape and the peaks of the Fribourg Pre-Alps

The Gruyère cheese is produced as a hard cheese. You will visit the exhibition about the cheesemaking process and get insights into the production. A simple cheese tasting closes your visit at the Maison du Gruyère.

A short 10 minutes transfer from the cheese factory will take you to the entrance of the medieval town of Gruyères.

The historical town of Gruyères has preserved its Medieval character up until today. The old comital residence lies on a hill above the river Saane. The castle, which dates back to the 13th century, is today a museum depicting 800 years of regional architecture, history and culture.
You will have the opportunity of your free time to discover the town, to have lunch at one of the restaurants and to visit the castle.

A short transfer from Gruyère to Broc will take place.

Stop At: Maison Cailler, Rue Jules Bellet 7, Broc 1636 Switzerland

You will visit Maison Cailler, the chocolate factory with it's interactive exhibition: Sense of imagination is paired with presentations on the different stages in the Cailler chocolate production process, which are relayed as part of the interactive audiovisual guided tour.
Through cameras the visitors can watch live as the ingredients of chocolate are processed.
You will have the chance to taste chocolate and to visit the shop.

Return transfer from Broc through the county of Fribourg to Bern, where the tour ends.
