3-Day Hill country tour of Sri Lanka

Get an in-depth insight in to the beautiful landscapes of Sri Lanka’s hilly interior during this 3-day private tour. Itinerary

Day 1: Colombo - Nuwara Eliya

Stop At: Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Sri Dalada Veediya, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka
07:30: You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Kandy.

11:00: Arrive at Kandy and visit the Kandy Temple which is the home of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Oak Ray Handcrafted Wood Carvings, 9 Deveni Rajasinghe Mawatha. Gatembe, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka
12:30: Arrive at Oak ray Restaurant for lunch. If you are interested, you can visit a wood carving center and gem lapidary after lunch.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ramboda Waterfall, Pussellawa Sri Lanka
14:30: Leave Kandy and proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit Ramboda Waterfalls.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Gregory Lake, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
In the evening you can enjoy a city of Nuwara Eliya including a visit to Gregory Lake park. Known as Little England, the town of Nuwara Eliya enjoys spring-like weather throughout the year.

Day 2: Nuwara Eliya - Nuwara Eliya

Stop At: Horton Plains National Park, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
6:00 Make a pre-dawn start to Horton Plains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

7:30 Take a guided walk along the park's nature trails to a viewpoint known as World’s End. You may encounter a variety of wildlife including endemic Rhino-horned and Hump-nosed Lizards, highland bird species including the Sri Lanka White-eye, Dull-blue Flycatcher, Sri Lanka Bush Warbler, Yellow-eared Bulbul. Also keep your eye out for troops of Bear Monkey, and Sambar (Sri Lanka’s largest species of deer) which are regularly seen in the plains close to the entrance. You will continue your journey up to Baker's Falls, named after the famous explorer, Sir Samuel Baker.

Stop At: Oak-Ray Summer Hill Breeze Hotel, No 49/1, Unique view road, Nuwara Eliya., Nuwara Eliya 22200, Sri Lanka
14:00 Arrive back to Nuwara Eliya for lunch at a local restaurant.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Pedro Tea Factory, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
15:30 Visit the Tea Plantation and Pedro Tea Factory to learn about tea production and its significance to the Sri Lankan economy. You will be able to engage with a tea plucking experience during this visit.
Duration: 2 hours

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya - Colombo

Stop At: Sita Temple, Peradeniya-Badulla-Chenkaladi Highway, Nuwara Eliya 22200 Sri Lanka
After breakfast, you will visit Seetha Amman Temple and then drive to your next destination (You will be dropped off in selected cities only – Please refer inclusion section).
