Best of the Black Forest from Basel

If you in Basel and fancy a trip north to Germany`s highest waterfall and see the iconic Black Forest, this is the trip for you. We will cross the border and then cross the border into Germany and drive to up to Triberg and the tallest falls. We will be checking out the local culture and no doubt sampling some local food and for sure sampling some Black Forest gateaux !!

Visit Triberg im Schwarzwald is a town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located in the Schwarzwald-Baar district in the Black Forest. There are a number of things to do and see including the Black Forest Museum, the home of the Black Forest cake, the waterfall and the Cuckoo clock museum

Freiburg im Breisgau, a vibrant university city in southwest Germany's Black Forest, is known for its temperate climate and reconstructed medieval old town, crisscrossed by picturesque brooks (bächle). In the surrounding highlands, hiking destination Schlossberg hill is linked to Freiburg by a funicular. With a dramatic 116m spire, the Gothic cathedral Freiburg Minster towers over the central square Münsterplatz.
