2-Day Private Ohrid Tour in Skopje, Prishtine Trip and Prizren

This is a perfect tour to visit the main sites and landmarks of Ohrid UNESCO and Skopje in North Macedonia, also Prishtina and Prizren in Kosovo in only two days. Itinerary

Day 1: From Tirane to Elbasan - Ohrid UNESCO - Skopje

Stop At: Kalaja E Elbasanit, Bulvardi Qemal Stafa, Elbasan Albania
Our first stop is Elbasan castle, where we see it's walls and the neighborhood that is a mixture of old and new buildings.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Tsar Samuel's Fortress, Braka Miladinovtsi st, Ohrid Republic of North Macedonia
We arrive in Ohrid old town UNESCO and we start our visit from the upper gate passing by the walls of the fortress of Tsar Samuil
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Plaoshnik, Ohrid Republic of North Macedonia
the Academy complex Plaoshnik. The church was built by St. Clement in the year 893 on the foundation of an early Christian basilica, and dedicated to St. Panteleimon. It was here that the Ohrid Literary School, a center of Slavonic literary and cultural activity where more than 3,500 disciples were educated. St. Clement was buried in this church, in the tomb which was built by his own hands.

Stop At: St. Jovan Kaneo, Kaneo Plaosnik Pateka, Ohrid 6000 Republic of North Macedonia
Saint John at Kaneo is a Macedonian Orthodox church situated on the cliff over Kaneo Beach overlooking Lake Ohrid. We will have magnificent views over Ohrid lake as well as the old town, from there.

Stop At: Church of Saint Sophia, Цар Самоил 88, Ohrid 6000, North Macedonia
during our walk we pass by the cathedral church of Saint Sofia, one of the biggest in Ohrid, also very interesting.

Then we have lunch (Optional) at one of the Lake side restaurants
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Skopje, Skopje, Skopje Region
Then we drive through mountainous area in the western part of North Macedonia with panoramic views.
In the afternoon we arrive in Skopje for overnight

Day 2: From Skopje to Prishtine - Prizren - Tirane

Stop At: Skopje Fortress Kale, Old Town, Skopje Republic of North Macedonia
We start our walking tour of Skopje in the morning to see the main sites, the fortress, the mosques, the old bazaar, the hammam, the central square part of the project Skopje 2014. We will see hundreds of statues and we visit the Memorial house of Saint Mother Teresa.

Stop At: Pristina, Pristina
After our visit we drive to Prishtina, Kosovo where we have a nice walk in the main promenade, visit the statue of Skanderbeg the Albanians' national hero, the statue of Ibrahim Rugova the first prime minister of Kosovo and many more landmarks.

Stop At: Sinan Pasha Mosque, Sheshi Shadervan, Prizren Kosovo
Then we drive to Prizren to visit the old town. Prizren is the most touristic and most beautiful town in Kosvo, with it's Sinan Pasha mosque, built in 1615 one of the historic landmarks in town. We visit the mosque and continue our walk in the center of the old city. Prizren has also catholic cathedral, the Slavic orthodox church, the old bazaar. The most important place in the town for the history of the Albanians is the house of the League, where they got together to coordinate their war for freedom in 19th century.

After our visits we return to Tirana
