Day 2: Visit Mati Temple & Rainbow MountainStop At: Mati Temple Scenic Resort, Mati Country, Sunan County 734400 China
Start your tour from the amazing Mati Temple ( Horseshoe Temple ), located between the foothills of Qilian Mountain in Sunan Yugur Autonomous County. There are many grotto Buddha statues carved on the wall from Beiliang period to the present thousand years; and the high-rise grotto temple buildings, which is very attractive and splendid.

Next we will head to visit the Zhangye Danxia National Geopark, located in northwest China's Gansu Province. It is a spectacular multicolor covering a large area of the cliffs that have made the place look like a masterpiece of an oil painting against the canvas of surrounding grey plain. The landform is the result of red sandstone erosion, together with its geological structure and long term desert conditions, wind and water erosion. The great force of nature has its great artwork emerged.

Day 3: Explore the Binggou Danxia, then drive to Jiayuguan (230kms, 2-3hrs)Stop At: Binggou Danxia Scenic Area, Sunan County China
Morning we will pay a visit to the spectacular Binggou Danxia, compared with Zhangye Danxia, the color of Danxia is relatively simple and has a little different. However, the most prominent feature is that the shape of the Binggou Danxia Landform is unique, with various styles of modeling, and the scale is quite spectacular. is the most significant geological and geomorphic relic of the window lattice palace in China, mainly composed of sandstone geomorphic relic landscape. The narrow ridges in the Ice Valley are all pointing to the sky, making this valley the Red Stone Forest of the Great Northwest. From a distance, the rolling hills look like temples, pagodas, and figures of Buddha, making the valley a natural Buddhist land.
Coming out from the Binggou Danxia, we will drive all the way to Jiayuguan about 2-3hrs, check in hotel and relax with free time for the rest of the day.

Day 4: Sightseeing in Jiayuguan, Train to DunhuangStop At: Jiayuguan Fortress, Within Yuquan Town, Yuquan Town, Jiayuguan 735100 China
Full day sightseeing in Jiayuguan, we will climb the Jiayuguan pass in the morning. This Ming Dynasty fort guards the strategic Jiayuguan pass, at the western end of the Great Wall – this was the last section built by the Ming Dynasty. (There are many steps from one tower to the other, please consider if are able to walk and climb about 2hrs)

Visit the The Great Wall Museum, which was opened to visitor in October 1989 and it is the first one to exhibit the Great Wall culture in a comprehensive and systematic way.

We will pay a visit to the Overhanging Great Wall, The wall here was built on the ridge with a gradient of 45 degrees. It is high in the air and it looks as if it fell down from the top of the hill. So people refer to this section of the Great Wall as the "Suspended Wall".

We will go to Jiayuguan Railway station at around 5pm, then catch an express train to Dunhuang, a famous frontier town and a well-known art center along the Silk Road. Your local guide and driver will wait you at the train staion and assit you with hotel check in.

Day 5: World Heritage Mogao Grottoes & Echoing Sand MountainStop At: Mogao Caves, West of Hexi Zoulang, Dunhuang 736200 China
This morning, we will visit Mogao Grottoes, also known as the Thousand Buddha Grottoes, this UNESCO World Heritage site. It is one of the great artistic and religious wonders of the world and it is famous for its exquisite murals and various sculptures inside the caves, which was built in different dynasties, spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art, enjoy the Silk Road Movies in the visitor Center about 40 mins before our exploration into the Grottoes.The professional guide from the Mogao will bring you to 8grottoes with their special torch so that you have clear view of the murals and paintings. （Note: No photos and Video in the caves). The visiting time is around 4hrs including movie.

Stop At: Mingsha Shan - Echoing-Sand Mountain, Three miles from Dunhuang, Dunhuang 831900 China
Continue the tour to Echoing Sand Mountain & Crescent Lake. When there is wild wind, the sands will be blown up and make a loud sound, while the sound sounds like being produced by some ancient musical instrument when blown by the breeze. There is also a Crescent Lake that has been in existence for hundreds of years without ever being buried by the sand. Riding the camel (approximately 40mins) as the Silk Road Caravan in the vast desert is highly recommended. Experience the feeling of the camel team marching in the desert. The sound of camel bells is a must-play item for every tourist.

Day 6: Yadan Ghost City & Yangguan PassStop At: Yadan National Geological Park, 180 Km Northwest of Dunhuang, Dunhuang 736200 China
A visit to Yardang National Geological Park, the park stretches twenty-five kilometers from north to south and about two kilometers from east to west. There you can appreciate unique and wonderful scenes and landscapes of Gobi desert.

On the way back to downtown, we will stop at Yangguan Pass continue with the driving of an hour to entrance of Yangguan Pass. Here you can appreciate the beauty of vicissitudes of the Great Wall, enjoy the natural view combined by oasis, desert and snow peaks, and taste the juicy fruits.
