Spend a full day swirling, sipping, and tasting through western Crete with wine professionals. Perfect for honeymoons, birthdays, or other special occasions.
Vasili and Anna Maria, the owners of Chania Wine Tours, are Greek-Americans that returned to their ancestral home of Crete. They are passionate wine people- Vasili owns vineyards and Anna Maria is a Certified Sommelier. 
The first half of the day is dedicated to olive oil. Take in the endless olive trees at the Cave of Saint John the Hermit, learn all about olive oil production at Biolea Estate olive mill, and visit the oldest olive tree in the world!
The second half of the day is for wine! Visit the vineyards and tasting room at Karavitakis Winery. Learn how to taste wine properly and how grapes are grown. Enjoy 6 wines. Then to Manousakis Winery for a tour of the winery to learn how wine is made before enjoy 5 more wines. Full lunch with unlimited wine is served on their terrace.

See the cave of Saint John the Hermit. Learn a bit about the Greek Orthodox religion, taste the holy water, and experience the secrete schools under the Ottoman occupation. Get a breath-taking panoramic look at the olive trees from the amazing terrace.

Stop At: Astrikas Estate Biolea, Biolea G. Dimitriadis, Astrikas, Platanias, Crete 730 06 Greece

Learn all about olive oil on this incredible tour of Biolea. See the production area and learn how olive oil is being made in an updated yet traditional way. Learn the quality levels of olive oil as well so you're sure to always buy great olive oil even when you're back home.

Stop At: The Monumental Olive Tree of Vouves, Vouves, Crete Greece

See the world's oldest olive tree! Take lots of pictures. Brief tour of the small museum.

Stop At: Karavitakis Winery, Pontikiana Village, Kolymbari, Platanias, Crete 730 06 Greece

At this family owned and operated winery, learn how to properly taste wine in their newly renovated tasting room. Taste 2 whites, a rose, 2 reds, and a dessert wine.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Manousakis Winery, Vatolakkos, Crete 730 05 Greece

Enjoy a guided tour of the new winery. Learn how wine is made. Take lots of pictures in barrel room.
On the tasting terrace enjoy a tasting of 5 wines before indulging in a full lunch with unlimited wine!
