Relax aboard the comfortable coach, driving along the scenic southern shore of Nahuel Huapi Lake and crossing the Limay Bridge over the Limay River.

Along the route, your guide will offer commentary on the natural and historical features of the region and all that surrounds the Limay River. We will make a short stop at this viewpoint to admire the view and take some pictures.

Stop At: Mirador Lago Espejo, Neuquén Province, Argentina

Lago Espejo is a glacial lake, whose name refers to the clean and quiet waters, which reflect the landscape like a mirror. The lake is fed by numerous streams bringing snow and melted ice from the nearby mountains. The shore of the lake alternates between volcanic sand beaches, juncus, and rock walls. We will make a short stop at this viewpoint to admire the view and take some pictures.

The water mirror that forms this lake, of a bluish-green color, has approximately 27 km², is framed by a mountain range of spectacular beauty, and has waters with a higher temperature than the Nahuel Huapi. We will make a short stop at this viewpoint to admire the view and take some pictures.

Lago Escondido is the smallest lake on the Road. It is surrounded by a dense Andean-Patagonian-type forest, which makes it difficult to spot, but to see it is a great reward. We will make a short stop at this viewpoint to admire the view and take some pictures.

Stop At: Mirador Del Lago Villarino, Neuquén Province, Argentina

Protected by Nahuel Huapi National Park, Salmonids abound in its waters, including several species of trout, which attract many visitors to practice fly fishing. Its name honors the Spanish sailor and explorer Basilio Villarino, who in the 18th century explored the Limay River basin, to which this lake belongs. We will make a short stop at this viewpoint to admire the view and take some pictures.

It is surrounded by the Falkner, del Buque, and Alto hills. Its coasts are mostly occupied by forests of lengas, coihues, and other Beechs. Its name honors the memory of Thomas Falkner, a Jesuit missionary priest of English origin from the 18th century. We will make a short stop at this viewpoint to admire the view and take some pictures.

This lake is often used for water sports, mainly in the summer; tourists can navigate it with kayaks and canoes. Machónico in Mapuche language means "Place of the Páncora". (the "Páncora" is a kind of freshwater crab). We will make a short stop at this viewpoint to admire the view and take some pictures.

You’ll have about three hours to spend at your leisure in San Martín, including time to purchase lunch at one of the plentiful restaurants (own expense). Stroll through the streets of the centre, lined with art and craft shops, surrounded by nature and fresh air. As you walk around, admire the lovely character of San Martín and the Swiss Alpine architectural style of its wood cabins and quaint shops.

After Lunch we will return to San Carlos de Bariloche
