Itinerary

Day 1: Adelaide to Mt. Remarkable National Park

Stop At: Port Wakefield, Port Wakefield, South Australia
Escape the city and head north for the first stretch of your Adelaide to Perth camping tour. Grab a coffee in the small town of Port Wakefield.

Stop At: Wallaroo, Wallaroo, South Australia
Claim a sandy patch of pristine beach for yourself at Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula.

Stop At: Port Germein, Port Germein, South Australia
Soak up the sun, then continue along the coast to the seaside town of Port Germein, where you can stroll along South Australia's longest jetty, built-in 1881.

This afternoon, arrive at Mt. Remarkable National Park in the Southern Flinders Ranges to enjoy an afternoon bushwalk.

Later, arrive at Spear Creek Holiday Park, which is set adjacent to the Western slopes of the Flinders Ranges in the middle of a 21,000-acre working sheep station. Relax with your new travel companions over dinner. Then kick back and enjoy front-row seats to one of Earth's most spectacular light shows as you roll out your swag under a blanket of stars twinkling stars.

Day 2: Mt. Remarkable National Park & Eyre Peninsula

Stop At: Mount Remarkable National Park, Mambray Creek, South Australia Australia
Wake up to the sounds of native birdlife, and after breakfast, embark on the first hike of the tour, navigating Davey's Gully to panoramic views across the Spencer Gulf. Then, hit the road.

Free time in Port Augusta to stretch your legs.
Duration: 30 minutes

Day 3: Baird Bay & Penong

Stop At: Baird Bay Ocean Eco Experience, 33 Baird Bay Rd, Baird Bay SA 5671, Australia
This morning, it's time for one of the tour highlights, swimming with wild sea lions and majestic dolphins on a three-hour cruise in the sheltered waters of Baird Bay. This optional
experience is an outsourced adventure operated by Baird Bay Eco Tours and an experience to treasure forever.

Stop At: Streaky Bay, Streaky Bay, South Australia
Following a picnic lunch, peel on a wetsuit for a two-hour learn-to-surf lesson on a pristine beach with Streaky Bay Surf School.

Those not wanting to surf will be able to relax, swim or wander the shores.

Stop At: Penong, Penong, South Australia
After a big day, arrive in Penong, an outback town famous for its dozens of windmills.

Day 4: The Nullarbor & The Great Australian Bight

Stop At: Nullarbor Roadhouse, Eyre Highway, Nullarbor SA 5690, Australia
Today we begin the epic pilgrimage across the Nullarbor Plain. Keep your cameras at the ready for iconic photo opportunities at the famous camels, kangaroos and wombats crossing road sign.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Bunda Cliffs, Eyre Highway, 20 km east of Eucla Eucla National Park, Eucla, Western Australia 6443 Australia
Make our way to the edge of Australia, where the outback drops dramatically into the Southern Ocean. Stretching approximately 200 kilometres along the Great Australian Bight, Bunda Cliffs are the world’s longest continuous line of sea cliffs. Breathe deep and take it all in.

Stop At: Nullarbor National Park, Eyre Highway, Nullarbor, South Australia 5690 Australia
Stop at the iconic Nullarbor Roadhouse, marvel at the ruins of an old telegraph station and, come late afternoon, cross the border into Western Australia. Tonight’s entertainment is courtesy of the celestial sphere bush camping under the southern skies on the Nullarbor.

Day 5: The Nullarbor to Cape Le Grand National Park

Stop At: Norseman, Norseman, Western Australia
Today we continue across the mighty Nullarbor, taking in Australia's longest straight road, 90 Mile
Straight. Visit the outback town of Balladonia, which shot to worldwide fame in 1979 when the
Skylab space station returned to Earth here rather abruptly. Watch the ever-changing landscapes
from your window as your guide regales the history and stories that make this land unique.

Stop At: Dempster Head, West Beach WA 6450, Australia
By afternoon, turquoise water will replace red dirt as we head towards Esperance. Connect to Country during a 90-minute Dabungool Cultural Experience. Join local Wudjari Nyungar mother and daughter as they guide you on a coastal walk to learn about the six seasons, bushfood and medicine plants that have sustained the Wudjari people for many thousands of years.

Stop At: 92 Dempster St Cape Le Grand National Park, Esperance, Western Australia 6450 Australia
Then head for the pristine bushland and beaches of Cape Le Grand National Park, our base, for two nights.

Day 6: Cape Le Grand National Park

Stop At: Cape Le Grand National Park, Cape Le Grand Rd, Cape Le Grand WA 6450, Australia
Crystal clear waters, powdery, white sands, expansive granite bluffs, and sunbathing kangaroos. Today, you'll wake up in paradise. Pristine and perfect are two words that reflect the absolute beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park. The ocean here is transparent, and the sand at Lucky Bay has twice been judged Australia's whitest. Spend the remainder of the day unearthing this incredible park. Traverse through lush bushland, swim at fantastic bays and coves and learn about its abundant flora and fauna.

We drive only 10 minutes today, and walks will vary from 2-4 hours.

Day 7: Cape Le Grand National Park & Stirling Ranges

Stop At: Frenchman's Peak, Le Grand Road Cape Le Grand National Park, Esperance, Western Australia 6450 Australia
Sunrise is a sacred time here, and it's also when the friendly western grey kangaroos are most active. Wander onto the beach to say hello before strapping on your hiking boots to embark on one of the best hikes of the tour, climbing Frenchman Peak for sweeping views across Cape Le Grand and Recherche Archipelago.

Stop for lunch and to see some unique outback silo art.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Mt Trio, Formby South Rd, Stirling Ranges, Stirling Range National Park, Western Australia 6338 Australia
Refuel with a lunch stop at one of the many beaches on Esperance's Great
Ocean Drive, then settle in for the onward drive to the Stirling Ranges to set up camp.

Day 8: Stirling Ranges & South West Coast

Stop At: Porongurup National Park, via Mt Barker-Porongurup Rd Great Southern Region, Mount Barker, Western Australia 6323 Australia
After breakfast, travel to the Porongorups, which rise from the landscape like an island. Over 1,100 million years in the making, the striking granite outcrop of Castle Rock invites you to walk its 670-metre peak through tall Karri and Marri tree forest and take in the jaw-dropping view from the suspended Granite Skywalk.

Stop At: Torndirrup National Park, Turn Left Just Before End of Salmon Hole Rd, 10 Km South of Albany, Albany, Western Australia 6330 Australia
Jump back on the bus for a dreamy coastal drive towards Albany. Along the way, we'll stop at The Gap and Natural Bridge.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Greens Pool, William Bay Rd William Bay National Park, Denmark, Western Australia 6333 Australia
Wade out into the turquoise and calm waters of Elephant Rocks, then just up the road, descend into Greens Pool, a white sandy beach framed by huge granite boulders. Both are primed for swimming in the warmer months.

Stop At: Walpole-Nornalup National Park, 120 Km West of Albany Great Southern Region, Walpole, Western Australia 6398 Australia
From the coast to the forest, walk among the old-growth forests of the Walpole Wilderness Region with the last stop of the day at the largest Tingle Tree in Western Australia.

Travel approximately 270km today (4 hours) and camp at the beautiful Shannon National Park, which has shower and toilet facilities.

Day 9: Margaret River

Stop At: Margaret River WA 6285, Australia
Today leave your hiking boots behind as you taste your way around the world-renowned Margaret River region. Unearth an array of cellar doors from wine, beer and gin, to dairy and sweet treats. Between tastings, stop for lunch today at one of the Margaret River's great restaurants.

Today we drive around 5 hours making stops along the way.

Stop At: Big Valley Campsite, 46 Boronia Rd, Rosa Glen WA 6285, Australia
Today travel around 200km (5 hours), making tasting stops along the way. Tonight, camp at Big Valley Caravan Park in Margaret River, which has shower and toilet facilities.

Day 10: Margaret River to Perth

Stop At: Ngilgi Cave Ancient Lands Experience, 76 Yallingup Caves Rd, Yallingup, Western Australia 6282 Australia
Roll up your swag one last time before we arrive at the Ngilgi Cave Ancient Lands, an immersive above and below-ground experience. Go beneath the Earth's surface for a 45-minute semi-guided tour of the exquisitely decorated Ngilgi Cave. Above ground, discover 600 million years of stories associated with the land and its people. Follow a pathway through the native bushland bringing to life the creation of the land, cave formations, cultural connection and native flora and fauna through a series of experiential nodes.

Stop At: Busselton, Busselton, Margaret River Region, Western Australia
In Busselton, take a stroll along the 19th-century jetty stretching 1.8km into gorgeous Geographe Bay and have some free time for lunch. Then complete your ten day adventure with a meaningful experience at FAWNA to participate in some volunteer conservation work. This wonderful not-for-profit organisation, run solely by volunteers, was established in 1984 to support wildlife rehabilitators to provide the best care for orphaned, injured, or abandoned wildlife. Tasks vary from tour to tour but include things like cleaning wildlife enclosures, gardening or planting trees. Meet and learn from the passionate people that protect the region’s wildlife, such as the critically endangered Western Ringtail Possums to kangaroos, birdlife and reptiles.

One last stint on the road has you arriving in Perth around 6 pm.
