Private Leshan Giant Buddha and Tea-Making Day Tour

See the world’s largest stone Buddha statue, the UNESCO World Heritage, standing at an astounding 233 feet (71 meters).Your private guide will lead you on an illuminating journey up and down the trails around the whole structure, and you’ll visit ancient Buddhist temples along the way. Stop At: Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo), No.2435 Lingyun Street, Shizhong District, Leshan 614000 China

A private vehicle will pick you up from your Chengdu hotel and take you on a two-hour drive to the Leshan Grand Buddha. Upon arrival at Leshan, indulging in a delicious Chinese lunch at a popular local restaurant. Afterwards, your guide will lead you to the Lingyun Temple, located behind the Grand Buddha’s head.

Then, follow your guide down the trail toward the left of the Grand Buddha. This walk usually takes approximately 30 minutes, but it is flexible depending on any rest or photo stops you may want to make. Standing at an impressive 233 feet (71 meters) high and 92 feet (28 meters) wide, it is by far the largest carved Buddha sculpture in the entire world! Admire the grandeur of this structure as it towers over you.

For an alternative view of the Grand Buddha, you can choose to take a boat cruise on the river. After impressed by this World Heritage Site, sit back and your private transport drives you to Tea Garden.

Stop At: Meishan, Meishan, Sichuan

Follow your guide to the plantation to meet a plantation farmer, who will walk with you to the beautiful tea terrace fields. Along the way, your guide will share various interesting facts, such as the several types of tea bushes that make different kinds of tea and how tea trees are planted and nourished. The farmer will then teach you the delicate ways of picking tea leaves.

Once you’ve gathered enough leaves, follow the farmer and your guide back to the factory to see and learn how to make different kinds of tea. Additionally, the farmer will show you how to make your own tea using the plantation’s facilities. The final product is yours to take home and enjoy!

Return point: Returns to original departure point or can be drop-off at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport.
