Ella Train Journey is considered as one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world.
Most scenic part of the journey starts after Nuwaraeliya (Nanuoya)
It creates very beautifully, green scenery from the moment you start the journey till you reach the end. The train travels among the hill areas/mountains, tea estates, over the rivers & waterfalls, etc.
Train is operating daily and what you receive is the ticket from Nuwaraeliya (Nanuoya) to Ella with reserved seats (Seat number is printed on the ticket)
Tickets will be allocated from 2nd or 3rd class reserved coaches depending on the availability. There is no much difference between the two classes as both comes with openable windows where you can enjoy the best of the scenic journey.
Only the passengers with reserved seats are allowed to travel in this train and no standing passengers. Therefore train is not getting crowded as the ordinary coaches with unreserved seats.
