Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a medieval age foundation consisting of 4 square (Durbar Square, Taumadi Square, Pottery Square and Dattatreya Square). Bhaktapur city is rich in art and crafts as most of the people are involved either in agriculture or in making pottery, woodworks, metalworks. The city is full of temples, shrine, and old buildings connected by confusing alleys. Just around 20 km East South of Bhaktapur, typical Newari settlement exits know as Panauti. The name was named after the holy river Punyabati. Panauti is known for ancient architecture and ancient wonders. This beautiful city lies in the lap of nature.
A guide along with the driver will meet you at the hotel. After meeting and greeting, the tour journey starts off to Bhaktapur. A guide will explain about various monuments, buildings, temple and square. You will be mesmerized to find the local people engaged in pottery making, thangka drawing, statue making while some of them are selling their argicultural product carrying in their doko or wooven basket (handmade traditional). You might want to taste the Juju Dau (king of Curd), the finest dairy product in whole Nepal. After Bhaktapur exploration, we drive to Panauti just an hour drive to explore newari settlement rich in ancient architecture. There are 3 rivers called Roshi, Punyawati and Brahmayani. The place is surrounded with green forest area. Panauti is famous for homestay and the people hospitality.
