Step into the wild on a 10 miles trek, to the most impressive views of Piedras Blancas Glacier, the imposing Fitz Roy Mountain and Laguna Capri, accompanied by a mountain guide; The ideal route to visit the unforgettable El Chalten!

Glaciers, lakes, rivers and forests will guide you around this beautiful destination, which remains one of the hidden gems of southern Argentina. The landscapes are dry and dramatic and will take your breath away with this successive trek. If you’re someone who loves trekking, you don’t want to miss this tour!

This is a moderate-difficulty hike, but there is no steep climbing involved, so no previous experience is required!


Start your trip by meeting your guide at our office located in El Chalten before starting your trip, at about 11.00 a.m. He/she will accompany you throughout the tour. Follow up, you will departure by bus to 'El Pilar', enjoying the beautiful views of 'Río de las Vueltas' and 'Mount Fitz Roy'.

Once at 'El Pilar', at noon you will start a 1-hour trek bordering 'Rio Blanco' and crossing beautiful forests of Lengas and Ñires. Be prepared to see all kinds of birds; this is a great woodpecker-spotting opportunity! To further add to your adventure, you reach 'Piedras Blancas Glacier Viewpoint', where you will have an incredible view of the glacier from the front.

Continuing for about 30 minutes, you reach one of the best views of the extraordinary Mount Fitz Roy that this tour offers you.

Next up, at approximately 2 p.m. you will arrive at 'Poincenot Camp', where a hot and comforting lunch will be waiting for you.

After lunch, we start our descent along the trail. During this part of the trip, you will visit the ‘Capri Lagoon’, the 'Estancia Madsen' lookout point and the viewpoint of 'Río De Las Vueltas', to be back in El Chaltén at around 5 p.m.
