This wonderful tour will let you explore all must-see sites on the ancient China Silk Road from Kashgar to Urumiq, Turpan, Dunhuang and Jiayuguan in 7 days, and enjoy the nice hotels. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Kashgar

Stop At: Kashgar Old City, China, Xin Jiang Wei Wu Er Zi Zhi Qu, Ka Shi Di Qu, Ka Shi Shi, Ya Wa Ge Lu, 艾提尕尔清真寺旁 邮政编码: 844099
Arrival Kashgar and transferred to your hotel. If time permits, you can visit the biggest bazaar in China, Kashgar Bazaar. Otherwise you will visit it next day.

Day 2: Kashgar

Stop At: Id Kah Mosque, Jiefang North Road Thirsty Camel Tours, Kashgar 844000 China
Start the city tour with your tour guide. Visit the old mosque to learn the history of Uighur people.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Abakh Hoja Tomb, 421 County Rd, Kashgar 844504 China
Afterwards, you will visit the well-known family tomb which is well-preserved its impressive architecture.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Kashgar Live Stock Market, Kashgar 844000 China
Visit Animal Bazaar (only on Sundays), and old town with local guide.

Catch 2-hour evening flight to Urumqi.

Upon arrival, transferred to hotel in Urumqi.

Day 3: Urumqi--Tianchi--Turpan

Stop At: Tianchi Forest Park, Sangong Forrest Farm, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture 831500 China
Drive one hour to Tianchi, Heavenly Lake in English, to visit the stunning mountain lake in the Mt Tianshan.

Then you will take 4-hour ride to Turpan that is a hub city on the ancient Silk Road.

Day 4: Turpan Sightseeing

Stop At: Ancient City of Gaochang (Kharakhoja), Sanpu Country, Turpan 838000 China
Visit the ancient City of Gaochang that was a ruin for the Gaochang Kingdom 700 years ago,
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, Shengjin Country, Turpan 838000 China
Visit Bezeklik Grottoes afterwards, though most of them were damaged but still can tell its splendid Buddhism culture,
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Emin Minaret (Su Gong Ta), Munage Village, Putao Country, Turpan 838000 China
Visit the pretty minaret that was built in 1777AD with a traditional Uyghur architecture.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Karez System, Xincheng Ximen Village, Ya'er Country, Turpan 838000 China
Visit Karez System Musuem where you will learn how the local people suivive in the desert.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ancient City of Jiaohe (Yarkhoto), Jianggelemaisi Village, Ya'er Country, Turpan 838000 China
Visit the ruin city that was built on a 30-meter high platform. There are still well-preserved houses, temples, and lanes etc.

Day 5: Turpan--Liuyuan--Dunhuang Bullet Train & Car

Stop At: Mingsha Shan - Echoing-Sand Mountain, Three miles from Dunhuang, Dunhuang 831900 China
Take a morning fast train for 4 hours from Turpan to Liuyuan where you will take 1.5-hour ride to Dunhuang. Visit the Singing Sand Dunes and Crescent Moon Spring in the afternoon. You can explore the night market if you are interested.

Day 6: Dunhuang--Jiayuguan Car

Stop At: Mogao Caves, West of Hexi Zoulang, Dunhuang 736200 China
Visit the highlight of the Silk Road, Mogao Grottoes. Then you will be transferred 5 hours to Jiayuguan by car.

Duration: 4 hours

Day 7: Departing from Jiayuguan

Stop At: Jiayuguan Fortress, Within Yuquan Town, Yuquan Town, Jiayuguan 735100 China
Visit Jiayuguan Fort in the morning. Then you will be transferred to Jiayuguan airport to catch your flight back to your destination.

Note: Please book the flight departing after 1 pm from Jiayuguan.
