4 Hour Guided Snowmobile Evening Trip in Finnmarksvidda

Join an unforgettable snowmobile safari above the Arctic Circle and experience true arctic wilderness and remoteness on Finnmarksvidda, Europe's largest mountain plateau. Experience the magical winter landscape and the spectacular fun of snowmobiling.

Itinerary

Upon arrival, you will be provided with warm clothes and boots for the evening. After this, we will go through our safety instructions and give you a practical demonstration on how to drive a snowmobile.

You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. The tour will take you through a snow covered forest all the way up to the Beskades Mountain range, the beginning of Finnmarksvidda. You will be on this snowmobiling adventure for approximately 2 hours, depending on the weather and snow conditions.

No previous experience is required to drive a snowmobile. All you need is a regular driver’s license, and it’s as simple as it is fun.

"Only the holders of a valid B class drivers license are allowed to drive a snowmobile in Norway. You are required to present your license for verification before taking part on the ride. Guests without a valid driving license are only allowed to be passengers."
"You will share a snowmobile with another passenger, so each of you will get to drive half of the trip."
"The snowmobiling takes 2 hours of the experience. 1 hour is taken by driving from Alta to Gargia (that is 30min each way), and the remaining hour is used for safety briefing, dressing in thermal suits, showing how to drive and a short presentation about the evening."
