Itinerary

Day 1: Sicilian Village and Food experience

Stop At: Cefalu, Cefalu, Province of Palermo, Sicily
- Drive (1h) towards the Madonie Regional Natural Park till charming Cefalù, a former fisherman's village with its ancient seaside houses.

- During a stroll with your guide through the characteristic streets, visit the medieval washhouse and the Norman-style Cathedral, built in the 12th century. The mosaics inside the cathedral are remarkable examples of the Byzantine art of the period.

- Continue to a small Sicilian village, a picturesque medieval village, a postcard-perfect town located inside the beautiful regional park of the Madonie. This area gives you a glimpse of an alternative Sicily, away from the coast and set amidst an idyllic rural landscape of hilltop villages and green parkland.

- Finally take your time to savor a special Sicilian Slow Food lunch based on local specialities. Enjoy a Home-Style Meal with combinations of flavors that include different vegetable dishes, cheese, salads, pasta, wine and dessert (Optional).

- Night in Palermo.

Day 2: Monreale - Segesta - Salt Pans

Stop At: Duomo di Monreale, Piazza Guglielmo II 1, 90046, Monreale, Sicily Italy
Start the day with MONREALE the apotheosis of Norman architecture. It combines in one project employment of both Sicilian and Byzantine craftsmen. The highlight of the Cathedral is its interior, incandescent with the gold of the mosaics, covering the walls of the nave, aisles, transept and apse - 81800 square feet.

Stop At: Tempio di Segesta, Contrada Barbaro SNC, 91013 Calatafimi-Segesta, Sicily Italy
Next drive to SEGESTA to visit the heritage of the Greeks in this singular archeological area. Temple and Theater built in the late 5th century BC are embedded in a wonderful countryside. A cycle of events and concerts are held at sunset during the summer months.

Stop At: Riserva Naturale Regionale delle Isole dello Stagnone di Marsala, Contrada Spagnola 228, 91025, Marsala, Sicily Italy
Drive along the Trapani and Marsala salt flat coast with the possibility to visit the island Mothya on a boat tour (Optional). Night in Marsala/Mazara area.

Day 3: Selinunte - Olive Oil Producer

Stop At: Parco Archeologico Selinunte, Via Selinunte, 91022, Castelvetrano, Sicily Italy
After breakfast visit the archeological area Selinunte. Inside this marvelous site visit the Eastern Hill with its temples and other interesting excavations dating back to the 7th century BC which are considered among the most important in the Mediterranean.

Stop At: Castelvetrano, Castelvetrano, Province of Trapani, Sicily
Following enjoy the Extra Vergin Olive Oil at a local producer. The prestigious "Nocellara del Belice" olive variety has been grown here for centuries. An unrepeatable combination of the local soil and microclimate gives origin to DOP certified table olives and excellent extra-virgin olive oil (Optional Lunch at the Olive oil Producer). Night in Selinunte area.

Day 4: The Valley of Temples in Agrigento - Winery

Stop At: Valle dei Templi, Piazza Archeologica 1 Via Panoramica Dei Templi, 92100, Agrigento, Sicily Italy
Drive to Agrigento for the Valley of Temples. These are among the greatest Greek ruins in the world and the splendor of the temples in the Doric style, built during the V and VI centuries BC.
During the Guided Tour through the archeological area, from the Temple of Juno, enjoy an excellent view of the entire Valley and the Temple of Concordia which is beautifully preserved. The oldest ruin is traditionally named the Temple of Hercules. The view of the Mare Nostrum is incredible from the Temples.

Optional possibility to visit (tasting+light lunch) a BOUTIQUE WINERY of this area before driving back to Palermo.
