Pass By: Templo y ex-convento de la Santa Cruz de los Milagros, Independencia s/n Jardin de los Fundadores. Barrio La Cruz. Centro, Queretaro City 76000 Mexico

We pass through the neighborhood of La Cruz, which was one of the oldest in the city where an indigenous population lived. The Convent keeps the legend of the tree with thorns in the shape of a Cross, in the s. XVIII captured the water that came from the construction of the aqueduct to later distribute it to the population. In the S. XIX was the headquarters and later the prison of Emperor Maximilian of Habsburg before he was shot on the hill of the Bells.

Nearby is the Place where the literary gatherings and the conspiracy against the Spanish crown that gave rise to the fight for the independence of Mexico in 1810 were held
