From the Opera to the center of Vienna's old town, runs one of the city's main shopping streets: Kärntnerstrasse. With both local and international brands along its course, your first impression of the old town will be of one of commerce and business. But that is, thankfully, not the full picture of what the 800 year old city has to offer.

The two shopping streets, Graben and Kohlmarkt, are among the most expensive streets in whole of Vienna. Big brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier, Armani, Dior, Gucci, and Demel, are lined up one after the other. Their display of over-the-top products fit remarcably well in with the surrounding: at the end of one street stands the impressive Hofburg palace, and at the end of the other, the powerful baroque plague column. Both over-the-top experiences.
