The Independence Memorial Museum is a history museum dedicated to Namibia's anti-colonial struggle and national liberation effort. Mansudae Overseas Projects, a North Korean enterprise, developed and erected the museum on Robert Mugabe Avenue. President Hifikepunye Pohamba dedicated it on March 21, 2014, the country's twenty-fourth anniversary of independence. Mansudae also created the Sam Nujoma Statue and the Genocide Statue, which flank it. The Sam Nujoma Statue stands on the location of the Reiterdenkmal equestrian statue from the German period.

Windhoek's Christ Church (or Christuskirche) is a historical monument and Lutheran church. Architect Gottlieb Redecker created it for the German-speaking Evangelical Lutheran Church of Namibia. Conflicts between the Germans and the Khoikhoi, Herero, and Owambo, the chapel was erected. The foundation stone was placed on August 11, 1907, and the chapel was officially dedicated on October 16, 1910. The Church of Peace was its original name. It was built from quartz sandstone quarried near Avis Dam and combined neo-Romanesque, Art Nouveau, and Gothic revival styles.

Gibeon is a meteorite that crashed in Namibia during prehistoric times. After the neighboring town of Gibeon was given this name. The Nama people found it and utilized it to manufacture tools and weapons. J. E. Alexander, an English captain, gathered meteorite samples near the Fish River in 1836 and delivered them to London. There, John Herschel studied them and established the material's alien nature for the first time. On February 15, 1950, the collection displayed on the fountain in Windhoek's Central Business District was designated a National Monument. Furthermore, any meteorites discovered in Namibia are immediately protected as National Monuments and must not be taken or harmed.
