The Indian Nose is a Peak known for having the appearance of a person's face looking up at the sky. It is known as Rostro Maya in Spanish and its original name is in Tzutujil, one of the Mayan languages ​​ around the lake.

We´ll take you to the highest point of the peak so you can spend some time appreciating the beauty of the lake and the towns around it, take some pictures, and breathe fresh air. To close with a flourish, we`ll take you to a place by the lake where you`ll have the chance to cliff diving in the clear waters of the lake! Make sure you don`t forget your swimsuit as you`ll need it.

Itinerary

Stop At: San Pedro La Laguna, San Pedro La Laguna, Lake Atitlan, Solola Department, Western Highlands

The tour will start very early in the morning as the purpose is to see the sunrise at the peak of the Indian Nose. We`ll pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in either of these three towns: San Pedro, San Juan, or Panajachel. We´ll go to Santa Clara and from there we´ll start our hike up to the highest point of the peak, "the nose".

If you´re located in Panajachel, we´ll pick you up at 7:30 am and if you are in San Juan or San Pedro, the pick-up time will be at 4:00 am.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Indian Nose, San Juan la Laguna Guatemala

The hike up will take us 40 minutes approximately. This is one of the shortest hikes. On the way to the top, we´ll see coffee and corn plantations. Atitlan´s Coffee is one of the best in Guatemala and is usually exported to other countries in Europe and the United States.

Once we get to the Summit imagine yourself sitting in the grass, watching the sunrise gradually lighting up the villages that surround the lake. It is a show without a doubt.

After getting down from the peak, we`ll go to San Marcos La Laguna Town to have breakfast and continue having fun with our next activity.

Stop At: Cerro Tzankujil Nature Reserve, San Marcos Village, San Marcos La Laguna 07016 Guatemala

After taking breakfast we`ll go to Cerro Tzankujil Nature Reserve. This place is very pacific and full of beauty. You`ll be able to relax here after the hike to the Indian Nose.

This Nature Reserve holds a viewpoint to appreciate the beautifulness of the Lake and one of its volcanos.

There is a platform where you`ll have the chance to cliff diving in the crystal-clear waters and have lots of fun. This is the best way to end up your adventurous day!

We`ll end the tour by leaving you safe and sound back to your hotel in San Pedro or San Juan La Laguna.
