Alvarinho Wine Route and Melgaço

Transfer to Melgaço by electric car Tesla Model 3. Then, we walk about 8km along the left bank of the Minho River.

We'll visit Termas & SPA of Melgaço with an Alvarinho wine tasting and Vinhão wines on a local farm. You'll see unique landscapes and surroundings.

Along the left margin of the Minho river to Melgaço, there are numerous wineries, farms and producers of Alvarinho wine. When entering the county gates, coming from Monção or Spain, we can appreciate the vineyards planted in magnificent amphitheatres, halfway up the slope, in a unique microclimate, combining Soil, Sun, Suffering, Wisdom and Quiet, the Five "SS" for a wine full of art and life. Born in a terroir unique in the world, from a singular grape variety that only grows in the Iberian Peninsula below 600m of altitude, Alvarinho wine is the fruit of very limited production and, therefore, exclusive Created by men who love the cult of the vine and the excellence of the wine, Alvarinho is a wine of class apart. The scenery is superb, and the word "paradise" fits perfectly.
After our walk, we will visit the town of Melgaço. After lunch, we will visit a farm in the region, with a wine tasting of Alvarinho and Vinhão accompanied by a tasting of regional products.
