Amman Petra Full-Day Trip

Take a full 10-hour day trip to Petra and step back in time! We shall start this tour off in the morning with a departure from your selected hotel taking a the drive down the Deseret highway for approximately 3 hours to reach the astonishing site of the rock city of Petra.
A beautiful historic city , This fascinating ancient Nabatean capital once dominated the Arabian trade routes.
At the Visitor Center buy your tickets to Petra and also you can hire a local guide (optional) and explore the majestic site.
Pass the Siq, a narrow gorge where you get the first close views of the colorful sandstone, ending at the beautiful treasury. Walk along the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs, the theater, and Qasr Al Bint.
After you have visited and seen Petra the driver will be waiting for you at the Visitor Center ready to depart on the way back to Amman or Amman airport.

You will depart from the selected place of pickup and start your 3 hour drive (approximately) towards the Petra site in a air-conditioned vehicle and will have the opportunity to stop and take a break on the way

Stop At: Petra Visitors Center, Tourism Street, Petra - Wadi Musa Jordan

Once you are in Petra, at the Petra Visitor Center, a guide can be arranged ( Optional ) after your ticket purchase and your meeting point to start your tour into Petra. Your dedicated English speaking tour guide will lead the tour inside of Petra and arrange entrance and logistics.It is advised to stay close to your guide to capture the details of the fascinating history of the Nabateans who built the city out of rocks. You will have the opportunity to rest, eat, drink, and use the facilities while in Petra, just inform your guide.

Located 140 miles (225 kilometers) from Amman, Petra once dominated the trade routes of ancient Arabia. Your visit to this hauntingly beautiful place begins with a walk through the Siq, a narrow path that was once the main entrance to the city. An impressively long, deep and narrow gorge of stunning natural beauty, the Siq is hemmed in by cliffs soaring up to 263 feet (80 meters), and measures three-quarters of a mile (1.2 kilometers).

At the end of the tour, your guide ( If Hired ) will escort you to the meeting point for your journey back to Amman. Expect about a 3-hour journey back to Amman.
