Manilva & Gaucin Wine Tour from the Costa del Sol

Away from the crowds, in a small group, you will enjoy a day trip to Gaucin and Manilva, accompanied by your own personal qualified, wine guide, where you will be immersed in the wine making processes and history of these interesting, local wines. Your wine guide, Nicky has a great knowledge of both the wines in the area, the wine history of the Ronda and Malaga region and personally knows the wine makers and vineyard owners that produce these characterful wines. You will get a unique insight into the winemaking process, local traditions and heritage.
You will be able to enjoy the wine tasting and tapas overlooking the vineyards and the sea, before being dropped back off at your accommodation on the Costa del Sol. A fabulous day out just 30 minutes inland from the Coast. Please note we work with several wineries in Manilva and Gaucin, the itinerary shown is just an example. The choice of wineries will vary depending on availability.

Pass By: Costa del Sol, Costa del Sol, Province of Malaga, Andalucia

You will be picked up at your accommodation on the Costa del Sol, in a 4WD Volkswagen Caravelle, and then leisurely driven inland to the picturesque, whitewashed Andalucian village of Gaucin, famous for its popularity amongst artists.

Stop At: Gaucin, Gaucin, Costa del Sol, Province of Malaga, Andalucia

You will visit this charming winery, nestled into the stunning hillside of Gaucin.
You will get to visit the winery and learn the wine making process in the hands of their local wine maker, José. With over 20 different styles of wine, including a range of red, white and rosé, you will be invited to enjoy a tasting of the wines, with local tapas and even get the chance to purchase the wines at the cellar door.

Stop At: Manilva, Manilva, Costa del Sol, Province of Malaga, Andalucia

You will then be taken to small family owned winery, in Manilva. You will visit the vineyard, winery and barrel room and learn about local traditions and heritage and the importance of the Moscatel grape and it's versatility in making dry white wine, sweet wine and raisins. Finally, you will be invited to enjoy a tasting of the wines in the barrel room, accompanied by a small selection of local tapas,
