River Relics Kayaking Adventure

River Relics Kayaking Adventure

Enjoy a guided kayaking adventure along the shores of the historic Saint John River from Dominion Park Beach in Saint John NB. Located just a short 15 minute drive from the center of the city!

History abounds as you paddle in your tandem kayak along an ice aged river where 15,000 years ago receding glaciers forced the river to find a new route over the rock ridges at Reversing Falls Rapids. The massive river system has been the lifeblood of the region for hundreds of years.

Photo opportunities abound as you pause to learn about river lighthouses, pre-Cambrian fossils, and check out industrial ruins that tell a story of bygone times, when the river was the key to life in New Brunswick. Keep your head on a swivel and an eye on the horizon for local wildlife, including bald eagles, blue heron, jumping Sturgeon, and if we're lucky, even the occasional rare sighting of harbour seal, hawk, and peregrine falcon.
