Guided Tour of Hida Folk Village

You will get a feel for how Japanese villagers lived in the Edo period when you see their houses preserved in their original condition, along with the tools and furniture that they used. You can also participate in seasonal activities, arts and crafts, or try out some old-fashioned toys.
Your guide, a native English-speaker and long-time resident of Hida Takayama, will give you an in-depth explanation of the Folk Village and the exhibits there.
