Day 5: Merzouga - Rissani - Nkob :

we will start our journey after sunrise in Erg Chebbi, the vast sand dunes of Merzouga. We will then head to Khamlia, a small village home to the Gnaoua tribe. The Gnaoua people are known for their spiritual music, which combines Islamic and African influences.

In Khamlia, we will have the opportunity to listen to the Gnaoua musicians play their traditional music and learn about their culture and history. Afterward, we will continue our journey to the village of Nkob, passing through scenic landscapes and traditional Berber villages along the way.

Stop At: Rissani, Rissani, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
After enjoying the spiritual music of Khamlia Gnaoua tribe, we will continue our journey to Rissani. Rissani is a small town in the heart of Tafilalet region and it is known as the "Gateway to the Sahara". We will visit the local market of Rissani where desert tribes from nearby areas come to buy and sell goods, including spices, fabrics, and handicrafts. It's a great place to experience the local culture and traditions, and to get a taste of daily life in the desert. We'll have the opportunity to interact with locals, learn about their customs, and perhaps purchase some souvenirs to take home.

Stop At: Nkob, Nkob, Souss-Massa
Nkob is a small village located at the heart of the Draa Valley, famous for its traditional kasbahs and Berber architecture. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to explore the village and its 45 kasbahs, which are well-preserved and provide a glimpse into the region's history and culture. In the evening, we will break our fast with a local family and share in the evening meal of Iftar. We will also have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Suhoor meal before retiring to our accommodations for the night. Throughout the night, we will have the chance to socialize with locals, share in prayers and tea time, and experience the local way of life.
