3 Days Chimpanzee Tracking-Gombe National Park

The 3 Days Chimpanzee trekking in Gombe Stream National Park will be highlight of your safari to Gombe National park. Gombe National Park is also the place where Jane Goodall did her seminal research on chimps behaviour. Safari will start with flight from Dar Es Salaam to Kigoma. After reaching Gombe you will participate in Chimpanzee tracking for the next three days. Chimpanzee tracking will take place in the morning or afternoon.

Itinerary

Day 1: Fly Dar Es Salaam - Kigoma - Gombe Stream National Park

Stop At: Gombe Stream National Park, Gombe National Park Tanzania
Air Tanzania schedule flight to Kigoma 09:30 am Arrive at Kigoma airport 11:40. Pick up on arrival and transfer to Kibirizi port for your boat to Gombe (2 hours boat trip). Pick up on arrival and transfer to the camp 14h00 hot lunches at the camp. Afterwards proceed for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Gombe Stream’s main attraction is obviously the chimpanzee families that live protected in the park’s boundaries. Visitors take walks deep into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Val vet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs and dik dik inhabit the dense forest and a wide variety of tropical birdlife.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Gombe Stream National Park

Stop At: Gombe Stream National Park, Gombe National Park Tanzania
On 08h30, Start Chimpanzee tracking in the forest, Gombe became well known for the conservation project started from Jane Goodall, who first arrived in Gombe in 1960. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests, like velvet, Colobus monkeys and baboons, Climb to Jane’s peak and visit Kakombe waterfalls if time allows.

Day 3: Flight from Kigoma to Dar Es Salaam

Pass By: Gombe Stream National Park, Gombe National Park Tanzania
Morning after breakfast, pick up and transfer by boat back to Kigoma town. Pick up on arrival and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Dar-es-salaam depart 12:50.

Note: Flight to other destinations like Kilimanjaro, Mwanza etc available on request with extra cost.
