My wife arrived in Peru a day earlier and decided to give this tour a go. Normally we like to see our own way around the cities we visit but this time we thought it would be good to get a taste of the city and of the country's cuisine. It was exactly what we were looking for.

It ended up being basically a private tour for my wife and I and lasted about 3.5 hours. The markets were incredible and our guide was very knowledgeable. The highlight of the trip was the ceviche in the first market with Rosita. WOW!!!!

Can't recommend this tour enough since you'll get a little bit of history, an overview of the city, the chance to see more local places, and A LOT of food. Already the highlight of our trip!

Pamela was an excellent tour guide and took us to two markets and two restaurants. Excellent food,a especially the ceviche in the market from Rosita. It was nice to get a feel for the local culture going through a non-touristy market, trying unique local food, and great local cuisine.

Very prompt pickup from the hotel. John Paul was our tour guide and was amazing. Very knowledgeable and had a wonderful sense of humor. I highly recommend this tour. It was just us two on the tour and we tried many different fruits. We also had ceviche and a delicious soup. The tour ended with a donut and another dessert I can’t remember but was like an oatmeal texture. I wish I took some notes and more photos to remember what I tasted. We went to a few different markets where John Paul pointed out many different things. This was our first tour and Lima and I loved it. Make sure you come hungry because you eat a lot!

Prompt pickup from our hotel. Nathaly was our English speaking guide, she was lovely and was able to answer all our questions. Amazing informative tour of the market with the chance to sample delicious fruits and then to sit down and have a meal with local cuisine. Seeing some of Lima's Spanish/French architecture was great. Traffic in Lima is busy and there is a lot of it, so don't make plans for after this trip, just in case you are late getting back.

This was a fun first day activity in Lima. We had some delicious food and our tour guide was great. It ended up being a private tour which I didn't realize so that was nice.
