Stop At: Vallentuna church, Kyrkvägen 4, 186 30 Vallentuna, Sweden

Visit Vallentuna church 12th C church on your way to Markim-Orkesta. This church hold two runestones from the Viking Age, a reformatic church rroom and is very very cool place to be.
Markim-Orkesta are two church parishes filled with history from all eras of Sweden's past. This time traveling experience includes the Bronze age, Viking age and other eras in Swedish history. Travel by vehicle (car, minivan or bus depending on group size) with a very knowledgeable local guide to this UNESCO World Heritage Candidate site. Come and learn about Viking culture, feel enchanted by their magic runes and Old Norse mythology. Learn about how Viking Swedes buried their dead and how Christianity changed Swedish society forever. This tour will make you understand how Sweden has developed through history and how its past has helped shape this modern nation.

After the hotel pick-up, the tour will travel by vehicle toward Markim-Orkesta. You will travel through history at Markim-Orkesta and experience different eras and aspects of Swedish history. See the ruins of the very likely birthplace of King Vasa, the man who reformed the Swedish state and church from Catholicism to Lutheran Protestantism. Hear about his life and controversial rule.

After hearing the intriguing history of King Vasa, journey on to a Christian Viking graveyard. Hear about the mighty burial rituals of the Vikings and how they vanished after Sweden was Christianized. You'll also see a local church which holds six rune stones on its land and hear the tale about the mighty and rich Viking Ulv who plundered England three times. See the splendid frescoes of the medieval church and feel the breath of Medieval Swedes through the stone walls as you learn about their religious lives.

Visit a Icelandic horse farm, greet the horses and the owners (if they are there) and hear more about a modern farm today. This place hold 40 horse souls and a big traditional red barn.

Stop At: Snåttsta Gård AB, SNÅTTSTA 3, 186 93 Vallentuna, Sweden

We visit some of the runestones connected to Inga in Snåttsta, a welthy viking women who raiesd runsteons around her farm telling how she came to own it.

Stop At: 186 94 Lindholmen, Sweden

We visit Lindholmens ruin. See the ruins of the very likely birthplace of King Vasa, the man who reformed the Swedish state and church from Catholicism to Lutheran Protestantism. Hear about his life and controversial rule.

Stop At: Orkesta kyrka, 186 94 Vallentuna, Sweden

Now you're in the heart of the UNESCO wolrd heritage candidate area. We also visit a local viking gravefield out of all maps. This local church holds 3 rune stones outside its typical, today rare, preserved Romanesque shape. Hear the tale about the mighty and rich Viking Ulv who plundered England three times. feel the breath of Medieval Swedes through the stone walls as you learn about their religious lives here on this former farmland church.

All central hotels, ports and other accommodations within 3km from Stockholm central station (no pick up at Nynäshamn harbour but instead travel directions to meeting place in Stockholm).

If your tour departs from the cruise pier:

If your ship arrives at S165 and S167 STADSGÅRDEN: Please walk a few hundred meters away from your ship while following the BLUE/GREEN lines. Go past the fences and guards, and your guide will wait there, with a sign saying "Viking Tours" on an A4-paper.  NOTE: If you enter any other harbour number in STADSGÅRDEN than S165 or S167 please go outside the fences and guards and the guide will meet you there on the time of the tour.

If your ship arrives at F638 FRIHAMNEN: Upon debarking the ship, please go through the terminal building. Once you go past the sliding doors (everyone else that departs the ship will walk out this way), the guide will meet you just outside the sliding doors. The guide will be holding an A4-paper saying "Viking Tours". NOTE: If you enter any other harbour number in FRIHAMNEN than F638 please go outside the fences and guards and the guide will meet you there on the time of the tour.

If your ship arrives at V523 VÄRTAHAMNEN: Walk from your ship towards the tourist buses, which is less than 10 meters from the ship hull. The guide will wait for you at the tourist bus area, near the buses, with an A4-paper, which says "Viking Tours." The guide will then direct you to the tour vehicle. NOTE: If you enter any other harbour number in VÄRTAHAMNEN than V523 please go outside the fences and guards and the guide will meet you there on the time of the tour.

If your Ship Arrives at NYNÄSHAMN: NO PICK UP INCLUDED HERE. That due to it being 50km away from Stockholm central station. We recomend you to contact and with us decide a meeting place in Central Stockholm. We will give directions how to go there either by train or that take one of the cruise busses going from the harbour into Stockholm.
