Itinerary

Day 1: Land at one of the most stunning airport in the world and greeted by an amazing view of the Himalayas

Stop At: Buddha Dordenma, Kuensel Phodrang Viewing Point, Thimphu 11001 Bhutan
It’s one of the largest sitting Buddha in the world at a height of 169 feet made of bronze and gilded in gold. You can get 360 degree amazing view from this location.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Tashichho Dzong (Thimpu Dzong), Chhagchhen Lam, Thimphu Bhutan
The fortress built in the 16th century is the largest Dzong and also the seat of the office of the king. you can even get a glimpse of the Royal palace from here.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: National Folk Heritage Museum, Pedzoe Lam, Thimphu 11001 Bhutan
Dedicated to connecting people to the Bhutanese rural past through exhibition of artefacts used in rural households. You can listen to traditional Bhutanese songs while having your lunch and watch some traditional Bhutanese dances after the lunch.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Day 2: Thimphu - the capital of happiness kingdom

Stop At: Thimphu Chorten (Memorial Chorten), Thimphu Bhutan
Built in the honor of the late third King of Bhutan, the father of Modern Bhutan, this Chorten is centrally located for young and old people to pray. The living souls of Buddhism can be found here :)
Duration: 25 minutes

Pass By: National Textile Museum, Norzin Lam, Near the National Library of Bhutan, Thimphu Bhutan
It displays the finest art of weaving from various regions of Bhutan. You will also be able to see the different fabrics and the intricacies of weaving. There will be a brief audio-visual program on textiles of Bhutan.

Day 3: Punakha - the old capital of Bhutan

Stop At: Dochula Pass, Thimphu Bhutan
You can get spectacular views of the high Himalayan Mountain ranges. Many colorful prayer flags of good fortune and the marvelous sight of the 108 stupas all together adds to the exotic scenery of the place. A short walk will bring you to Drukwangyal Lhakhang.

Stop At: Punakha Suspension Bridge, Punakha Dzong, Punakha 13001 Bhutan
This is the longest suspension bridge in the whole country made of wood and iron chains. The lives of the farmers across the river has been very convenient after the construction of this bridge.
 you can enjoy swinging on the bridge while breathing in the fresh air that comes along.

Day 4: Phobjikha : The valley of black necked cranes

Stop At: Black Necked Crane Center, Bhutan
informative displays about the black-necked cranes and the valley environment. You can use the Centre’s powerful spotting scopes and check what you see against its pamphlet ‘Field Guide to Crane Behavior’
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Phobjikha Valley, Bhutan
Hiking into the beautiful valley surrounded by beautiful scenery. it's the best place to capture a million dollar moment on your camera.

Day 5: Paro - The Town known for Red Rice - YUMMY

Stop At: Ta Dzong Museum, Above the Trongsa Dzong, Trongsa Bhutan
Looking down over the Rimpung Dzong, the Ta-Dzong (watch tower) was built in 1651, unlike the rectangular shape of dzongs, it is round more like parts of a European castle. Since 1967 the watchtower was transformed into the National Museum and holds a fascinating collection of arts, relics and thangka.

Stop At: Drukgyel Dzong, Paro 11001 Bhutan
The fortress was built in 1649 by Zhabdrung Nawang Namgyel to commemorate his victory over the Tibetan invaders, led by Mongolian warlord Gushi Khan in 1644. Strategically built over the only passage into Paro valley, the dzong helped repel numerous invasions all through the course of Bhutanese history. It so impressed early visitors that in 1914 the dzong featured on the cover of the National Geographic Magazine. On a clear day one can see the commanding view of Mt. Jomolhari from the village nestle below the Dzong.

Day 6: Hike to Tigers Nest

Stop At: Paro Taktsang, Taktsang Trail, Paro Bhutan
Tiger’ Nest: Legend has it that Guru Rimpoche (2nd Buddha) flew from Eastern Bhutan on a tigress, bringing Buddhist teachings and meditated here in a cave on this cliff for three months. This is one of the most venerated and sacred of all Buddhist sights around the world. -> Stunning view of monastery located on a rock at 10,000 feet.

Day 7: Fly back to your destination from Bhutan - Farewell
