Trekking challenge in the Colca Canyon - 3Days
This unique 3-day hike crosses the Colca Canyon and it is ideal for people who love the nature. The route from Canabaconde to the small town of Llahuar is an unforgettable descent of 7km. We will visit the geysers of Paclla located near to the village of Paclla and then go down to Sangalle where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the fantastic natural pools. Finally, we continue on a walk of 5 k that starts at 2,180 m.a.s.l and ascends to 3,280 m.a.s.l (Cabanaconde). This tour gives you the chance to enjoy breathtaking views, do a hike at a quiet pace and getting unforgettable moments.
ItineraryDay 1: Arequipa - Chivay - Cross of the Condor Viewpoint - Cabanaconde - LlahuarStop At: Colca Canyon, Peru
We will pick you up from your respective hotel at 3:00 a.m., to board the transport that will take us to the town of Chivay (approximately 3 hours of travel). At 06:00 am we will have our breakfast in a tourist restaurant. Then, we continue with our journey for 1 hour and a half to reach the Cross of the Condor Viewpoint where you can see the deepest Canyon of the world and the famous flight of the Condor luckily. Then, we go to Cabanaconde town where we will have lunch and get ready to start the walk towards the Achachihua viewpoint, from this point you can see the inside of the Canyon and part of the villages we will visit, among these Llahuar. We will arrive to Llahuar after 5 hours of walking, in that place we can make use of the hot water wells and be able to relax after a long journey. Here we have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Paclla - Sangalle Valley (Oasis)Stop At: Colca Canyon, Peru
This day our breakfast will be at 06:30. We will go to the Sangalle Valley with a walking time of 5 hours approximately, on the way we will visit the towns of Paclla and near this village there is a geothermic area for viewing three natural volcano vents that presents themselves as geysers. Jets of steam shoot into the air for a unique and attractive experience of the Colca Canyon. Continuing with the hike we arrive at our destination, the Valley of Sangalle, here we can make use of the pools to cool off and get relax, have lunch and in the afternoon we will have time to explore or rest. In the evening, dinner and overnight in bungalows.

Day 3: Cabanaconde - Chivay - La Calera - ArequipaStop At: Colca Canyon, Peru
We wake up at dawn to avoid the blazing sun and starting the most difficult hike through the Colca Canyon. It is a spectacular ascent of 5 km. Approximately it will rise from 2,100 to 3,200 m.a.s.l. You start waking up according to your rhythm. This experience is more than rewarded for the beautiful views you have once you are on top. This is an achievement you will always carry it in your heart! Upon reaching the town of Cabanaconde we will have our breakfast. The transportation will be waiting for us in Cabanaconde to take us to Chivay town towards the hot springs of "La Calera", which has a temperature of 38 ° C. Lunch in Chivay, it will be a typical one of the region. Continuing our tour we return to Arequipa. On the way back we will across the national reserve of Pampa Cañahuas, home of the four species of South American camelids (Llama, Alpaca, Vicuña and Guanaco). Our arrival to Arequipa city will be at approximately 6:00 p.m.
