Returning to the mother's womb, purifying all toxins and negative energies from the body through the steam of the herbs, helping the respiratory, circulatory, nervous, digestive and muscular systems. The Temazcal is a pre-Hispanic bath. Its origin is lost in time. The name Temazcal is formed by two words that come from the Nahuatl language: "temas" (means bath) and "calli" (means house). In the tradition of the American Indians, their healing bath ceremony is called Inipi. The temazcal is a very old ceremony, known as a steam bath, in which the grandfather fire guides us. It is the quintessential connection to Pachamama, Mother Earth, and a gateway to purification. In this sacred womb, we come into contact with the 4 sacred elements of Creation: water, air, earth and fire. Entering the temazcal generates a physical and spiritual rebirth.
