4 Days Tanzania National Parks Private Safari from Zanzibar

4 Days Tanzania National Parks Private Safari from Zanzibar

This tour is unique as it covers all key national parks in just 4 days, therefore time saving and affordable. The tour also includes local flight tickets therefore suitable for travels from Zanzibar or Dar es salaam.

Each year around the same time, the circular great wildebeest migration begins in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area of the southern Serengeti in Tanzania and loops in a clockwise direction through the Serengeti National Park and north towards the Masai Mara reserve in Kenya. This migration is a natural phenomenon determined by the availability of grazing. The initial phase lasts from approximately January to March, when the calving season begins – a time when there is plenty of rain-ripened grass available for the 260,000 zebra that precede 1.7 million wildebeest and the following hundreds of thousands of other plains game, including around 470,000 gazelles

Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
Pick from your hotel in Zanzibar and drive to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch box. In 1970, the national park emerged from a former colonial hunting ground. He has a very diverse animal world, not least because of its size, which corresponds to approximately Luxembourg. The park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in the north of Tanzania, but is also home to many other wild animals. With some luck you can spot lions, cheetahs or leopards. The landscape of the park is very diverse. Especially the huge baobab trees, which are located close together in the north-eastern sector of the park, are particularly impressive. After an extensive game drive, you will drop to your lodge for dinner and overnight

Look for leopard around the Seronera River, which is home to one of Africa’s densest populations of the big cats, while lions can often be seen on the kopjes.bSerengeti Plains – the open savanna south of the Seronera River – are prime cheetah territory. Other animals to spot in the area’s varied habitats of rivers, swamps, kopjes and grasslands include elephant, hippos and crocodiles in the rivers, buffaloes, impala, topi, jackals and bat-eared foxes.
After a pleasant picnic lunch, it’s time to drive eastwards to visit another spectacular setting for Tanzania’s wildlife, the famous Ngorongoro Conservation area. On arrival, settle in at the lodge while a tasty, hot dinner is prepared for you. Tomorrow, the wonders of the crater await us.

We will descend 600m into the crater for a wonderful game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater on World Heritage Site holding a permanent population of more than 30 000 animals.
As only very few of those migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species.
