Cooking class/Pepian Workshop

Come to be part of this Guatemalan community where love is shown through food, sharing and enjoying a delicious dish living a unique experience with a family. Learning unique Guatemalan stories and traditions of this beautiful town that you will discover.

This experience take you to the heart of our gastronomy: traditional kitchens in guatemalan communities.
We will walk from the square to the home of the person in charge of the workshop. Family members will teach you to cook Pepian from scratch. You will be able to make your own tortillas and rice as side dishes. Dessert is also included in the experience.
At the end of the class you will taste the dishes with the cook and you will have the opportunity to share impressions and take some pictures.
You will be able to get as involved as you want in the elaboration of each dish.

• Pepian - Ceremonial dish declared cultural heritage of Guatemala, served in special events such as weddings and brotherhoods.
• Tortillas - Corn tortillas made by hand
• Guatemalan traditional dessert - This dessert is representative of the fusion between Spanish and Mayan gastronomies.
