Yala is the area best known for its variety of wild animals in the Southern coastal belt. An undisturbed home of Sri Lankan elephants, leopards & aquatic birds. In order to grab the best, we'll start early (5 AM) from Mirissa, Weligama & suburbs. Upon arrival at the meeting point you'll move to an open concept safari jeep. Yala hosts a variety of ecosystems ranging from moist monsoon forests to freshwater & marine wetlands. It's one of the 70 Important Bird Areas (215 species including 6 endemic species). The number of mammals that has been recorded is 44. It has one of the highest leopard densities in the world. Our experienced trekker will direct you to the spots for Terrestrial animals such as Elephants, Sloth bears, Wild water buffaloes, Axis deers, Monkeys, Reptiles such as Monitors, Crocodiles & wide range of birds. You'll serve you a simple/homemade breakfast. Upon completion we'll reach back where started along with the nice memories grabbed across the experience.
