Explore the historic heart of Tunis, considered one of the best-preserved Arab-Muslim cities and listed since
1979 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was one of the most important and richest cities in the Islamic world. Some 700 monuments including palaces, mosques, mausoleums, medersa and fountains bear witness to this remarkable past. The old medina of Tunis was in an oval shape, surrounded by a continuous wall and dominated by a Kasbah, seat of the government. It is built around the religious center of the great Ezzaitouna mosque, opening onto a large esplanade serving both as a market, as a place for public meetings and as a place for military parades, in the vicinity of which the Souks of the merchants were organized.

Stop AtBARDO NATIONAL MUSEUM
It is one of the most important museums in the Mediterranean basin and the second museum on the African continent after the Egyptian Museum in Cairo for the richness of its collections. It traces the history of Tunisia over several millennia and across several civilizations through a wide variety of archaeological pieces. Housed in a former beylical palace since 1888, it offers a prestigious and magnificent setting for the exhibition of many major works discovered since the beginnings of archaeological research in the country

Stop At CARTHAGE
By the sea, Carthage is located on the outskirts of the capital of Tunisia, Tunis. It is known for its archaeological sites. Founded by the Phoenicians in the first millennium BC, it was the seat of the powerful. Carthaginian (Punic) empire, defeated by Rome in the second century BC. It now houses a sparse collection of thermal baths, theaters, villas and other ruins, many of which offer an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Tunis.
