On this 3 hours food tour, we will take you away from the city center and crowds to the bohemian neighborhood in Kyiv - Podil - that is popular with locals for its cultural venues, nontrivial cafes, hipster bars, high-level restaurants, and unique pubs.

Walking the backstreets of Podil, your Kyiv local guide will entertain you with fascinating facts and stories about the sights you pass. There comes the time when you and your guide land in the cozy wine bar and the tasty part begins.

Between bites, the guide tells you about local traditions and culture. As we all know that cuisine and food culture of any destination is based on historical influences and the uniqueness of the environment.

• Borsch - Borsch is a vegetable-based soup, made of beetroot, cabbage, tomatoes, potatoes, and dill. Although quite often it is cooked with meat, fish or beans.
• Varenyki - Small dumplings stuffed with a wide variety of fillings. They are topped with sour cream or fried onions.
• Salo - A famous Ukrainian product - pork fat called “salo”. It is mostly eaten in varied forms as an appetizer with garlic, onions, and pickles.
• Kyiv cake - It is made with layers of crunchy hazelnut meringue and buttercream, cashews or hazelnuts.
