Did you know that the Solidarity movement which led to communist regime’ end in Poland and Eastern Europe was born here in Gdańsk? The union’s founder, leader, legend and former president Lech Wałęsa is also inseparably connected with Gdańsk.

Join us for the tour that will not only help you to understand the complicated history of Gdańsk and its people but will also bring to the surface questions and issues that remain valid and significant even today.

Excellent museum illustrating Solidarity and its role in the fall of communism in Poland.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Gdansk Shipyard, ul. Walowa 27a, Gdansk 80-858 Poland

We will go through the former shipyard area to feel the atmosphere of the history. Today, the shipyard, although still functioning, is changing. You can see unique mix of the 19th century Prussian shipyard architecture and the 20th century history of shipyard industry.

Night life and music concerts take place here especially during summer time.

A historical place for the Solidarity Movement, where agreements were signed with the communist government in 1980.
