Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Km. 104 - Aguas Calientes

Stop At: Cusco, Cusco, Cusco Region
*The day before the tour starts, the guide will visit you at your accommodation for a tour briefing, so we make sure you make the most of your tour *

START: You will be picked up early in the morning and transferred to Ollantaytambo station, where you will take the 6:10 AM train that will take you to km 104, where the 2-day Inca Trail Hike tour begins.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Inca Trail, Machu Picchu Peru
At km 104 begins your three-hour hike to the Wiñaywayna Archaeological Zone, which is at an altitude of 2,600 meters and is believed to have been the home of the ancient priests of Machu Picchu. You will have lunch and rest for a while and continue walking along the Inca Trail until you reach the Sun Gate, the access to the sacred site of Machu Picchu.
Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Aguas Calientes, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region
You will then descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will stay in a hostel in a private room with bathroom. You will have dinner and time to rest, stroll around the town or optionally visit the thermal baths.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Stop At: Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, 08680, Peru
You will wake up very early and get your strength back with breakfast at the hostel. You will take the first bus at 5:30 AM, to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu. -

Once inside the Inca citadel, you will enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of the archaeological site, with plenty of time to enjoy it on your own until it's time to take the bus back to Aguas Calientes.
Duration: 7 hours

Stop At: Cusco, Cusco, Cusco Region
From there, you will take the 14:55 train to Ollantaytambo, where a minibus will be waiting for you to take you to the center of Cuzco.
Duration: 2 hours
