Iquitos Jungle 3 days -native community project-

This tour is run in private service. You will have a guide and boat driver just for you, they will adapt the different jungle discovery activities and schedules to your preferences.

The lodge, located right in front of the Pacaya Samiria national reserve is part of a rural community-based tourism project and is run by a native community. When booking this tour, you will support the local amazonian community while discovering the jungle in a genuine and unique way.

During 3 days, you will navigate through its rivers, walk through the jungle, feel the sounds of nature, see birds, monkeys, caimans, pink dolphins, and much more! Discover a unique ecosystem with this private tour!

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to the lodge - Sunset with the pink dolphins

Pass By: Plaza de Armas de Iquitos, Iquitos Peru
*Since the tour is in private service the schedule can be adapted to your preferences.

The guide will pick you up at your accommodation or the airport.

We recommend the pickup in accommodation to be at 8:00 AM, so you have more time to enjoy the tour. The airport pick-up will be upon arrival. You can provide the flight details when processing the reservation or later on, no worries :)

Pass By: Nauta, Nauta, Loreto Region
We will then head to Nauta on a two-hour tour car ride. Once we arrive there, we will embark on the boat that will take us to our lodge.

Stop At: Ucayali River, Peru
After the boat ride we will get to the lodge, located in the Ucayali river, right in front of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. During the boat ride, the guide will explain all the activities that we will be able to enjoy.

Upon arrival at the lodge we will be accommodated in our private rooms and after lunch, we will start the adventure in the Amazon by boat, enjoying the wonderful sunset and swimming close to the famous pink dolphins.

We will return to the lodge for dinner and in the evening we can participate in an expedition in search of the nocturnal animals that live in the jungle.

Day 2: Jungle discovering activities (based on your preferences)

Stop At: Ucayali River, Peru
After breakfast, we will go on a walk through the jungle to admire the spectacular nature of the Amazon. During this trip, the guide explains everything we can see: different species of birds, the plants that surround us, and other indigenous animals.

Afterward, we will return to the lodge for lunch, rest for a while, and later we will board the boat again to make bird sightings.

Stop At: Ucayali River, Peru
We will return to the lodge to enjoy a relaxed dinner and then we will have the chance to go out on the boat to look for alligators with only our lanterns and the natural light of the night. Seeing the reflection of the alligator’s bright and vivid eyes staring back at you from the darkness is what adventures are made out of!

Day 3: Jungle discovering activities and return to Iquitos city or airport (based on your preferences)

Stop At: Ucayali River, Peru
After breakfast at the lodge, we will leave once again with the boat to continue discovering the Iquitos jungle. Today we will have ahead of us a unique activity that you can only do in the Amazon: fishing for piranhas. On the way back, we will be able to see the impressive Amazonian Victorias, known as the giant water lilies.

We will return to the lodge for lunch, pick up our luggage and head back to Iquitos by boat with the guide

Stop At: Iquitos, Peru
You will be able to choose both the time the tour ends and the place where you want the transportation to take you. Either to your accommodation in the city of Iquitos or to the airport to take your return flight. Being a 100% private and customizable tour, you will be able to adapt it to your schedule.
