Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: El Calafate, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina

The day before the tour starts, the guide will contact you on behalf of our agency: Howlanders, to indicate your pick-up time at your accommodation in El Calafate, as the tour has different departure times during the morning. Once together, you will head to the port ‘Bajo Las Sombras’, which is a few kilometers from the glacier viewpoint.

In case you do not select the option that includes the transfer, you will meet the group directly at Puerto Bajo las Sombras, inside Los Glaciares National Park.

There, we will take a boat and sail in front of the awe-inspiring south wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. After disembarking, the guides will organize us into groups and we will walk for a few minutes until we reach the Glacier. The guide will then help us put on the crampons, thus starting the incredible trek through the ice of the most impressive glacier in the world.

Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Perito Moreno Glacier, Los Glaciares National Park Argentina

We will walk on the Glacier for approximately one hour and a half, taking us on firm and safe trails that will offer us the possibility of seeing the crevices, moulins (glacier sinkholes), and small blue lagoons. During this walk, the guide will tell us about the landslides of the Glacier as well as the endemic fauna and flora of the region.

Stop At: El Calafate, Santa Cruz Province, Argentina

On our way back, we will pass through the Magellanic Forest, where we can enjoy breathtaking views. Before heading back to El Calafate, we will have some free time to enjoy the spectacular views of the Perito Moreno Glacier from the walkways, thus ending a memorable day.

The tour has different departure times, from 7 AM to 3 PM. The day before, the guide will contact you to let you know the starting time of the tour and the exact pickup time in case you have selected this option.

Pickup at any accommodation in El Calafate (please let us know the address or the name of the accommodation). If you are staying in an Airbnb, a meeting point will be indicated since pick-up is not possible in lodgings without reception service.
