Mount Ijen Sunrise Experience Tour start from Surabaya or Malang

This tour is perfect for people who love sunrise views and want to see the stunning Blue Ijen Lake on Mount Ijen. If you're short on time and want to visit Mount Ijen, no worries! We've got you covered. We can pick you up from either Surabaya or Malang, take you to experience Ijen, and then safely drop you back off at either Surabaya or Malang when the tour is done.

Itinerary

Day 1: Departure Time

Stop At: Surabaya, Surabaya, East Java, Java
Ijen crater is located in the regency of Banyuwangi, East Java. It is 7 hours drive from our office in Malang, and also from Surabaya. You will be picked up around 06.00 PM at your meeting point (Hotel). Since it will be a long drive in the evening, feel free to ask your driver to stop for dinner (exclude) or just take a rest at the rest area. You will arrive at Ijen Paltuding (Ijen Entrance Gate) at around 01.00 AM.

Day 2: Hiking to the top of Ijen Crater

Stop At: Ijen Crater, Banyuwangi 68454 Indonesia
You will start trekking around midnight. It takes 90 minutes to hike. You will meet the Sulphur miners on your way to the top. These days most of them use trolleys to wheel down the solid field Sulphur to the weighing area just behind the parking lot. Once at the top, feel inspired and explore. Walk your day. You will hike back to the Paltuding in the morning. Enjoy the local snack and a welcoming cup of coffee or tea (included).

Stop At: Malang, Malang, East Java, Java
After mesmerizing with Ije Crater, you will drive back to Malang or Surabaya or we can drop you off to Ketapang Port if you wish to continue to Bali Island, ferry ticket to Bali is not included on this tour.
