Magnificent East Tour

Saída do hotel pelas 09h00 em direção à freguesia da Camacha para observar a fábrica de vimes e todo o seu processo. Seguidamente, subida até ao Pico do Areeiro a 1818m, onde poderá observar as lindas montanhas e vales circundantes e até a freguesia do Curral das freiras, bem no fundo de um dos grandes vales. Descida ao Ribeiro Frio, onde existe um viveiro de trutas que posteriormente são largadas no ribeiro.

Segue-se uma visita ao centro de Santana para observar as típicas casas triangulares com o telhado de colmo, seguida de outra paragem no Faial. De regresso ao Funchal, terá mais duas paragens, no miradouro da Ponta de São Lourenço e em Machico.

Regresso ao hotel pelas 17h00.

The Pico do Arieiro Pike, 1818 meter high, is the third highest summit in the Island of Madeira. It is highly advised to climb all the way up to the top of this mountain to enjoy the great beauty of the volcanic landscape and its wonderful views.

Ribeiro Frio is an exquisite place, surrounded by aromatic forests, offering a welcoming environment. Its hillsides are crowded with numerous vegetal species and make up the Forest Part of Madeira. Here, taking advantage of the environmental benefits, it has been installed a little trouts fish farm. Obviously, the trout is one of the most recommended dishes of its neighbouring restaurant.

Santana is one of the nicest and most colourful villages in Madeira. Here, its inhabitants used to live in beautiful wooden cottages with roofs ending in a narrow head (Palheiros). Some of them still survive among the modern constructions, especially those close to Queimadas area.
