Dazu and Anyue Ancient Rock Carvings Combined Private Tour
Dazu Rock Carvings have been a must-go highlight ever since being inscribed on UNESCO world heritage list, however the 900-year-old Hutou village ancient carvings which just neighbors to Dazu barely draws attention for it's remote location and uncomercialized status, that's also the reason why almost no tour guides was trained for this site.
We did lots field work on it, we drove through the country side, talk to the villagers, gained first-hand stories.
The original status and incredible preservation give Hutou village rock carvings a high value on artistic, historic reserch and deep-touch tour, that's why we pick it up and present to our travellers.

Stop At: Baoding Mountain Carved Stone, 16 km Northeast of Dazu County, Dazu County 402360 China
Picking up our travellers then drive to Dazu county, a small town in north-western Chongqing, our destination would be Baoding ancient rock carings.
The history of Baoding carvings dates back 900 years ago, it's the largest and best preserved ancient stone sculptures and the most well-known Buddhism holy site in southern China. In 1999, Baoding Carvings was inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO.
Those statues were engraved on cliff side to facilitate displaying and being worshiped. It iconically and aesthetically pretty much represents the outstanding ancient Chinese artistic and sculpture craftsmanship achievements.

The car ride from downtown to Baoding will be roughly 1.5 hour and excursion takes 2 hours inside. All travellers need to transfer to the interal shuttle bus and golf car which is mandatory in order to “cultural relics preservation” purpose.

Then we get to downtown Dazu anjoy a typical local lunch. We will offer cuisine options and our travellers would make the call. The lunch is on us.

After lunch we drive to Anyue, another small county which is proximity to Dazu. It also will be a joy ride with amazing country view.
Our destination will be Pi-lu Cave, an ancient Buddism Cliffside Carving hidden in the remote country side of Sichuan Province. This site shares the same age with Dazu carvings but appear even better inovation and carving skills. It's still barely known by the outside world for remote location, and the story behind still remain a mystery.
Therefore unlike the crowds in Dazu carvings, only few visitors would attend.

Then we drive all the way back to downtown Chongqing, we'll deliver our travellers to their hotels or any specified location in downtown.
