This safari is designed to show you the very best of iconic Namibia, from the breath-taking landscapes of Sossusvlei (tall red sand dunes in the world), the unforgettable wildlife of the country’s premier Big Game location, Etosha National Park to the Africat Foundation and experience a close-up encounter with Big Cats at Okonjima.

Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek City > Sesriem Area (Namib Desert)

Stop At: Dune 45, 45 kilometers From the Park Entrance Gate, Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park Namibia
The more popular and widely photographed Dune 45 is about 80m high. Its fascinating shape and accessibility makes it the most photographed dune in the world.

Day 2: Sesriem > Sossusvlei > Swakopmund

Stop At: Sossusvlei, Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park
Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan surrounded by high red dunes, located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, in the Namib-Naukluft National Park of Namibia.

Day 3: Swakopmund city

Stop At: Walvis Bay Waterfront, End of Atlantic Street, Walvis Bay 9000 Namibia
This is a place many have heard of but very few have ever visited. Giant sand dunes that run straight into the ocean, creating breathtaking sceneries and unique landscapes, just waiting to be discovered.

Stop At: Walvis Bay Waterfront, End of Atlantic Street, Walvis Bay 9000 Namibia
Experience Dolphins swimming alongside the sailing catamaran, Seals playing around, Sunfish sharing the secrets of the depths and shy Leatherback Turtles surfacing.

In season there is also Humpback Whales and Southern Right Whales breaching about. Cruising Back - Lunch is served! How better to round off a perfect morning with Oysters and Sparkling Wine, followed by our trademark platters with savoury snacks, coffee/tea and cakes.

Day 4: Swakopmund > Etosha National Park

Stop At: Etosha National Park, Etosha National Park, Oshikoto Region
This park is one of the world’s great wildlife-viewing venues. Unlike other parks in Africa, where you can spend days looking for animals, Etosha’s charm lies in its ability to bring the animals to you.

Day 5: Etosha National Park

Stop At: Etosha National Park, Etosha National Park, Oshikoto Region
Travel along the vast salt pan, stopping at various waterholes and game viewing spots along the way in the park. As you continue to your overnight stop you're certain to see plenty of wildlife and eerily beautiful scenery.

Day 6: Etosha National Park > Okonjima Africat Foundation

Stop At: Okonjima Game Reserve, Waterberg Plateau Park Namibia
Okonjima Africat Foundation is the highlight at this sanctuary with its awesome excursion of tracking cheetah and leopard safaris.

Day 7: Okonjima Africat Foundation

Stop At: Okonjima Game Reserve, Waterberg Plateau Park Namibia
We join an early morning excursion for leopard tracking and in the afternoon we join the cheetah tracking on foot. Okonjima is the home of the Africat Foundation, a specialist conservation concern that centers its operations on the African Big Cats, particularly cheetah.

This afternoon you will be taken on a tour during which you will be able to meet, close-up-and-personal, some of the cheetah that are going through the Africat rehabilitation programme. Most of the animals currently living at Okonjima have been rescued from various desperate situations, being orphaned or caught in a trap, and the aim of the rehabilitation process is to attempt to re-introduce them into the wild.

Day 8: Okonjima Africat Foundation > Windhoek City

Stop At: Okonjima Game Reserve, Waterberg Plateau Park Namibia
After breakfast we exit Okonjima Africat Foundation on our way to Windhoek, we continue on a good road and we aim to arrive back in the Capital in the afternoon and you will be dropped off at Hosea Kutako International Airport for your outbound flight.
