Day 2: Seoul ✈ - Jejudo Island, Korea’s Gem

Today, we fly to Jejudo Island, Natural Power.

The volcanic island has scenic natural beauty, unique cultural traditions, and a temperate climate. In 2007, the Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes were listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site in South Korea. We will visit Yongduam, Dragon’s Head Rock, before dinner.

Day 3: Jejudo Island

Stop At: Sangumburi Crater, San38, Gyorae-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju, Jeju Island South Korea
After breakfast, we will enjoy a full day city tour starting with Sangumburi, a crater which has been designated as a Natural Monument., and is a flat crater, about 650 meters wide, 100 meters deep, and 2,070 meters in circumference. If you look at the crater from above up, it looks like a man-made circular stadium. There is a variety of plant life in the crater.

On the way to our next destination, We stop by Yuchae (Canola) Flower field,
You can enjoy the picturesque springtime views of Jeju by walking by the deep-blue waters along the Seogwipo coastline and through seas of yellow canola flowers. Then, Seongsan Sunrising Hill also called ‘Sunrise Peak’. It is an archetypal tuff cone formed by hydrovolcanic eruptions upon a shallow seabed about five thousand years ago.

We transfer to the Woman diver’s museum, The Jeju Haenyeo Museum exhibits various photos of haenyeo female divers and their activities, to provide an accurate picture of their lives. The Jeju Haenyeo Museum also has an observatory from
where visitors can see an excellent view of the Hado-ri area, which has a garden with various sculptures and a resting area.

Mysterious Road, also known as Dokkaebi Road. As the name of the road, it is mysterious. What we will experience here is that the road seems to be uphill, from the start point of Mysterious Road, when we turn the engine off, our car will start to roll uphill!

Day 4: Jejudo Island ✈ - Seoul - Jeonju, Land Mark of Korea Culture

Stop At: Jeonju, Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do
Today, we fly back to Seoul, Then, we proceed to the most celebrated village of Jeonju, an important tourist center famous for its Korean foods and historic traditional buildings. In May 2012, Jeonju was chosen as a Creative City for Gastronomy as part of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network. This honor recognizes the city's traditional home cooking handed down through generations over thousands of years, its active public and private food research, its system for nurturing talented chefs, and its hosting of distinctive local food festivals.

Day 5: Jeonju - Busan

Stop At: Hanji Museum, 59, Palbok-ro, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do 561-723 South Korea
After breakfast, We will learn about the Korean people’s excellent cultural heritage – We first visit Hanji Museum (Korean Traditional Mulberry paper), As Korea’s first museum specializing in the paper it has an extensive collection of 3,000 artifacts and a database documenting the long history and superiority of Hanji (Korean paper). You also get DIY experience to make Korean paper with wooden tools and bring it back home.

Stop At: Jeonju Hanok Village, Eunhaeng-ro, Wansan-gu, Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do South Korea
Jeonju is the birthplace of Bibimbap (Rice with Vegetables & Meat). In 2011, it was ranked 40th on the World's 50 most delicious foods readers' poll compiled by CNN Travel.

We will take a tour to Hanok Village, the largest Korean Village with various traditional cultural facilities in the downtown area. We will participate to see how to make traditional crafts such as Hapjukseon or Taegukseon (fans) along with sampling the traditional tea shops and restaurants.

Coming up next is a walking tour in the Gyeonggijeon pavilion, the symbol of Jeonju’s Korean-style village.

Day 6: Busan - Gyeongju

Stop At: Yongdusan Park, 37-55, Yongdusan-gil, Jung-gu, Busan 48950 South Korea
After breakfast, Hotel check out. then we will visit the Yongdusan Dragon Head Park – it is called Yongdusan because the shape of the mountain resembles a dragon’s head emerging from the sea.

we will go to Busan Tower, a 120-meter tower that provides a stunning bird’s-eye view of the entire city of Busan, including islands and ships dotted in the distant seas.

Stop At: Jagalchi Market, Nampo-dong, Jung-gu, Busan South Korea
Then, we will visit the Jagalchi Fish Market, the largest fish market in Korea and a popular “must-go” site for tourists in Busan. The market is located beside Nampo Port which means the fish can be kept fresh and delivered quickly. We also visit Nampodong Int’l Market, which is one of Korea’s largest markets; each alleyway is crowded with stalls, and it connects to Bupyeong Market, Kkangtong Market, and other smaller markets. The market stocks such a wide variety of goods, that you can find almost everything you need.

Afterward, we will drive to the century-old historical Gyeongju City, the 1,000-year-old capital of the Shilla Dynasty.

Day 7: Gyeongju - Andong - Wonju

Stop At: Bulguksa Temple, Bulguksa 385 Bulguk-ro, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do 38127 South Korea
This morning, We start the city tour, Gyeongju Historic Areas were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. The protected areas encompass the ruins of temples and palaces, outdoor pagodas and statuary, and other cultural artifacts left by the Silla Kingdom. The historic areas are also known as one of the largest outdoor museums in the world. We will first visit Bulguksa Temple, also known as “The Buddhist Country Temple”.

Alongside the neighboring Seokguram Hermitage, Bulguksa Temple was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995.

Lastly, we will visit Tumuli Park which has more than 20 large and small tombs from the Silla Period.

Then, we transfer to Andong Hahoe Folk Village, UNESCO World Heritage, the village became even more famous after Queen Elizabeth of England visited on April 21, 1999.

Day 8: Wonju - Icheon - Suwon - Seoul

Stop At: Icheon, Icheon, Gyeonggi-do
This morning, we will proceed to Yeoju, the birthplace of Korea's last queen, Empress Myeongseong.
Yeoju and its neighboring city Icheon are a major center of contemporary South Korean ceramics and host the World Ceramic Exposition every year. This morning, we begin our day by visiting Icheon Pottery Village. The Hancheong Ceramics kiln is the only ceramics Art Center in Korea where we can learn about ceramics.

Next, we will visit a famous Kimchi Making Facility and try our hand at Kimchi Making (D.I.Y.) & trying on Hanbok (Korean traditional costume.)
From the olden times, Yeoju rice had been presented to Korean Kings and families because of its high quality.

Stop At: Hwaseong Fortress, 910, Jeongjo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do 16253 South Korea
we visit Suwon Hwaseong fortress, it is the best of Korean traditional architecture designated as a World cultural heritage by UNESCO. In other words, Haenggung, meaning detached palace, is a palace built within the walls of Hwaseong to house King Jeongjo when he was away from his palace in Seoul worshipping at his father's tomb. When he was not in residence it was used by his delegated official as a base of government. The palace was built in 1789, but was expanded between 1794 and 1796 to house 600 compartments and in doing so became the largest haenggung in Korea. If the mini train is available on the visiting day, we take it to look around Fortress.

Day 9: Seoul

Stop At: Gyeongbokgung Palace, 161 Sajik-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul South Korea
Discovering the new era at hand in Korea, what the world calls New Seoul, will be the highlights of today.
Hope you got plenty of rest last night because we are heading out early to the beautiful Gyeongbokgung Palace to experience the (more than 500 years old) Royal Guard Changing Ceremony.

Before a Korean food feast with the locals, we will breathe in the history with a walk around the Bukchon Hanok Village seeing several traditional homes, Hanok.

Day 10: Seoul - DMZ

Stop At: DMZ, Munsan-eup, Majeong-ri Imjingak Tourist information center, Paju, Gyeonggi-do South Korea
The Demilitarized Zone is a unique area where you can observe one country being divided into two. Experience the tension but hope for peace in Korea and learn about their history and future.

The highlight of today’s tour is the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone).

Located on each side of the 38th parallel, this infamous border was established at the end of the war in 1953 at the signing of Panmunjom’s armistice in order to separate North and South Korea.
Upon arrival, proceed to passport security control followed by a short introduction at the United Nations camp. Visit Dora Observatory and Dorasan railway station. Discover Imjingak Park with the Memorial, the Liberty Bridge, and the bell of unification. Late morning, visit the 3rd tunnel dug into the rock at a depth of 73m and able of moving a full division per hour with their weapons.

Afterward, Insadong Cultural Street, one of the most memorable attractions in Seoul. It represents the focal point of Korean traditional culture and crafts. Stores in Insadong specialize in a wide variety of goods that can only be purchased or appreciated in Korea.

Day 11: Seoul - ICN airport for departure ✈

Stop At: Incheon, Incheon
The Perfect Finish - Don’t go too far during your leisure time in the morning, because we will meet back up in the early afternoon at Myeongdong, one of the main shopping and tourism districts in Seoul. If you haven’t found anything during our journey, this is the best place for you to purchase souvenirs as well as lunch (there are hundreds of restaurants - Asian, Europe, USA.
Right next to Myeongdong, we also visit Namdaemun Local Market, the largest and oldest wholesale market in Korea, where we can find practically everything here at affordable prices.

Then, The private car/charter will take you back to Incheon International Airport. I know it’s hard to say goodbye to the country you fell in love with, but it’s time to head back home. Just remember, Seoul welcomes you back anytime!
