Our tour to Constanta starts early in the morning and takes us east for 230 km on the A2 highway all the way to the majestic Black Sea.

Stop At: Cazinoul Constanta, Constanta Romania

Our first stop will be at Black Sea Coast, where we will find the symbol of Constanta- the spectacular Art Nouveau Casino standing between the commercial port and tourist one. Built in 1910 by the first King of Romania, the casino nowadays stands with a great view towards the sea as one of the main landmarks of Constanta.

We then walk towards St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, an outstanding monument built at the beginning of the 19th century in byzantine architecture, nowadays it stands as proof of how far Christianity has spread. The cathedral also lies next to ruins of the ancient city of Tomis, former name of Constanta, that offer on insight on how the city used to be organized during Roman times.

After the cathedral we head towards the largest mosque in Romania, built in 1910 by our King Carol ! for the local Muslim community, nowadays this mosque stands as testimony to the ethnic diversity and confessional tolerance. Climb the 140 steps of the minaret for a breathtaking view over the city and sea.

Stop At: Museum of National History and Archeology, Ovid Aquare 12, Constanta 900002 Romania

We then reach Ovid Square where we will be going inside the Museum of Archaeology and History that exhibits the largest collection of vases, statuary, artifacts and jewellery from the Greek-Roman period in Romania. Join our guide inside to hear ancient history between Romans and former Dacians.

Stop At: The Roman Edifice with Mosaic, Strada Ovidiu nr 12 next to the National History & Archeology Museum, Constanta 900734 Romania

After the Museum of Archaeology and History we will head for the Roman Mosaic museum where we will be seeing how a former market, placed next to the Black Sea, used to be. The Roman Mosaic section of the museum was formed in 1966 to protect ancient history that lay within the floor and artifacts that inhabit the Roman Mosaic.

Continue your tour of the city with the Folk Art Museum, where you will be better acquainted to traditional life in Romania through its impressive collection of costumes, household items and religious icons.

Stop At: Plaja Mamaia, Constanta Romania

No trip to Constanta is complete without a stop in the seaside resort of Mamaia, known as the Pearl of the Black Sea. With its fine sand and line up of restaurants, cafés and clubs, Mamaia is the most popular destination on the Black Sea, offering both relaxation, as well as entertainment. You can sit back, listen to the sounds of waves and enjoy the afternoon sun at the beach before heading back to Bucharest.
