Information about Cochabamba

Cochabamba is the capital of the department of the same name and is the third largest city in Bolivia, behind La Paz and Santa Cruz.

It is nestled in a valley of fertile lands in the central area of the country, in the sub-Andean region. It sits at the foot of the Tunari Mountain Range, where is the hill Tunari, which is the highest point in the department of Cochabamba (5,035 meters above sea level). In the middle of the city it crosses the Rio Rocha from northeast to southwest.
