The Iguazú falls are formed by 275 waterfalls of up to 80 m height, of which 80 are on the Argentine side, fed by the flow of the Iguazú River. You can take boat trips under the jumps and hiking trails appreciating some animals from the semitropical jungle. A separate show is its highest waterfall and, with 80 m, also the highest: the Devils Throat, which can be enjoyed in all its majesty from only 50 m, crossing the catwalks that depart from Puerto Canoas.

The falls are on the Iguazú River, which has a total length of 1230 km until its mouth in the Paraná River. This confluence is 23 km downstream of the falls. Although the Iguazú River has a width that is usually between 500 m and 1000 m along its entire length, in the area of ??the national park it widens to reach 1500 m.

Flora and Fauna:
Its exuberant jungle abounds in lianas, epiphytes and ferns. In different places it presents different types of compositions, with predominance of certain species, such as the palm heart and rosewood forest, giant jungle tree with about 40 meters of height) or that of laurel and guatambú.
In addition, the riparian forest is located on the margins of bodies of water. The different layers of the jungle offer different options to the varied fauna that inhabits this Park.

As for the fauna, we can find: Monos caí, coatis, serelepes squirrels, toucans, a variety of colorful fruit trees, noisy magpies and even some margay. Also agutíes, cuises, corzuelas, mountain foxes and overo lizard

How to get to the Iguazú National Park:
In Automovil: from the town of Posadas to Iguazu, along the RN 12 and RN 101 road to the access gate to the Park - 320 km.

By Plane: Your airport, 7 km from the Cataratas Area, receives daily flights from Buenos Aires and Córdoba.
