Forests of Palermo. Buenos Aires - ARGENTINA

Direccion: Av. Infanta Isabel 410, Buenos Aires

The district called Bosques de Palermo is made up of different parks and public areas, among them we can mention: The Galileo Galilei Planetarium, The Zoo, the Botanical Garden, The Japanese Garden, The Lake of Regatas, the set known as Parque Tres de Febrero within the which is the Rosedal and the Hippodrome Argentino de Palermo.

The place is richly decorated with rose gardens, wooded formations and lakes, surrounded by lush vegetation of tipas, eucalyptus, jacarandas, ceibos, lapachos, araucarias and drunken sticks. The Rose Garden is one of the most beautiful places to visit, and has a lake where boats can be hired to walk along the water.

In addition, Palermo Forests are known to house horse-drawn carriages, called "Mateos", in which visitors make walks. The Botanical Garden is another of the main attractions of the Forests, housing in its interior more than 10 thousand species of plants and trees. There the Municipal School of Gardening works.

The Galileo Galilei Planetarium is another of the most emblematic places in the city of Buenos Aires, built with a total of five floors and a circular room 20 meters in diameter, the dome that crowns it. This has an interior coating made of aluminum sheets, and it reproduces millions of stars and constellations.

As for the lakes of the Forests, there are four in total: the Lake Victoria Ocampo, the Lake of the Rosedal, the Lake of the Planetarium and the Lake of Regatas. The latter is further north and is the largest of all. It is located next to the Golf of Buenos Aires, and it is home to fish species such as black loin and golden mackerel.
